Has anyone done this on a raw stainless CT yet? I want to see the results on there. I have to clean the hell out of mine before I can do it.
I applied the base (single coat) it to mine (raw SS). Only did the panels and one kit was sufficient. I could perceive no difference in the appearance and it does clean more easily. Most notably are fingerprints - can wipe them off with my sleeve now. Before the coat I had to get out Windex or some other solvent.

I put together a quick reference chart for anyone planning to use Silazane50. Made using the free version of NotebookLM, so there are a few spelling errors—but the steps and process are correct. Feel free to use it as a simple guide during application.

I too thought this was easy and straightforward to apply. Following the instructions, I, as a first time applier of any type of ceramic coating, was able to achieve fantastic results. It did, however, take me about four and a half hours to do, so plan accordingly. I applied it to my PPF wrapped CT and I absolutely love the results. I also applied it to all windows and no problems either.

In full disclosure, I received a sample from SILAZANE50 for testing purposes, but these are my honest results.”

Disclaimer: I received this free to test on my Model Y, but ended up using it on my daughter’s 2026 GLB250 instead. Getting this free doesn’t affect my review. Below is my honest review of Silazane50.

Biggest lessons learned: do the heavy prep the day before, don’t skimp on the degreaser, and have a second person if possible—doing it solo is exhausting. The biggest surprise was how smooth the paint felt immediately after. My daughter’s reaction was simply, “WOW.”

Would I do it again? Yes—but next time with help.
Would I recommend it? Yes. Definitely a DIYer’s dream—easy to use with excellent results.

Any pictures? The weather finally broke here on long Island so I'm ready to give it a shot and apply it to my no wrap, bare SS CT.

Im wondering- for the black plastic- do I need to get them cleaned off after a normal carwash they still show random white spots etc- or does the silzane shampoo/degreaser clean all that off in the prep procedure prior to application of the protector?

The @silazane50 ceramic coat process was very easy and the instructions leading you through the process were easy to understand with some pictures supporting the verbiage.

It’s a time consuming process, but an easy one. They recommend 2 packs for a Cybertruck and I do believe that’s accurate. You are able to cover the main panels of the Cybertruck with just one kit, but if you want to cover the black plastic as well (you really do) you will need 2 kits for full coverage.

Not only does this make it very hydrophobic, but very simple to clean. I drove through a mud puddle 2 days after application and thought I would have to clean it off when I got home… it was already gone by the time I parked. I also watched pollen fly off the vehicle while I drove away!

Do yourself a favor and protect your investment and sanity by the lack of cleaning you’ll have to do!

Note: The color difference between a few panels is due to an accident causing me to re-wrap a panel a year into the original wrap

I received a sample from SILAZANE50 for testing purposes, but these are my honest results."

The supplied cleaning chemicals worked for all the white spots etc on the black plastic!
