Yea if it’s begging to fail there might be an alert in there.. some hotels have them which is cool for staying overnight. But if fails you can supercharge just takes away you ability to use destination wall chargers level basically AC charging. DC fast chargers should work.My building has super slow chargers so I’ve only ever charged at 24 amps so I guess I wouldn’t know unless I go into service mode?
id take it on the trip. Software 2026.2.9.7 and greater have the update that will let you supercharge in the event the PCs fails. You should be good. Be like Nike and Just do it.Guys I have a 2024 Foundation Beast. I need to take it on a road trip this weekend , 4 hours there and 4 hours back should I be worried about this PCS thing?
I have like 3800 miles
Thanks
Wow what state are you in? That’s such a quick turn around. Mine started to work at 24A then stopped again. That might just be how it progressively fails.PCS total failure must have a software patch in the latest Software update 2026.145.6.7. Updated today. Restored limited home charging to 24Amps.
Before this update a PCS failure that occurred in the middle of May had stopped all AC charging. Charging the Cybertruck was limited to Supercharging. We live in a suburban development with the nearest available Supercharger requiring more than an hour round trip plus the 40 or so minutes to charge up.
Tesla provided free supercharging, and a PCS replacement is scheduled for next week. The Service Center notified me that a PCS replacement has become available.
