Any OEM light bar owners waiting for the new mounting brackets? I went in for service and asked them about it today. I purchased a light bar from someone and I've been waiting for the new option. I asked if they could install it or if they sell the parts. After talking to the manager for about 30 minutes, they came back and said they could do either.

I'm uploading the part numbers for anyone who wants them, along with the pricing. I'm going to have them do it because it's a few steps. Tesla actually came up with a convenient design; they use the first mounting points under the appliqué and drill holes to hold the bracket in place, and made an adapter to hold the light bar - pretty genius, actually.

Tesla in Totowa, New Jersey is doing their first one today. Step-by-step link:

There is a recall on the lightbar. I imagine this will be part of the free solution once its available.

October 27, 2025 Recall Incomplete, Remedy Not Yet Available 25V735 TC-2025-591

Description:
Tesla has issued a voluntary recall on model year 2024 Cybertruck vehicles manufactured between November 13, 2023, and November 5, 2024, on which an optional off-road light bar accessory was installed by service using the incorrect surface primer

Safety Risk:
If the service installed optional off-road light bar accessory separates while the vehicle is in drive, it could create a road hazard for following motorists and increase their risk of a collision.

Remedy:
At no charge to customers, Tesla will inspect the service-installed optional off-road light bar accessory for delamination or damage and if either is present, replace the light bar with a new light bar adhered with tape and a positive mechanical attachment. If no delamination or damage is present, Tesla will retrofit the service-installed optional off-road light bar accessory with a positive mechanical attachment.

Hey man, so you have an AWD and are getting the light bar? I thought they were only available for Beast owners(which is super weird and annoying). I'd love the offroad light bar eventually. Have they changed their policy?

The install is still glued on, but now with the safety brackets on the ends to ensure the bar stays put in case the adhesive fails.

Some people did not install them, or removed them and sold them. There are a few examples on these forums.

Yes, they were only offered as part of the Foundation package for Cyberbeasts (at least so far).

The first recall for the lightbar was to inspect to ensure the adhesive was installed properly and is holding. The new recall is to install the end-cap safety brackets. Those just started going out. Someone else on the forums just received their notice a short time ago. I have not yet seen mine.

The dim factory lightbar is definitely not worth more than $200. The amount of light output pales in comparison to something like the Baja Design S8. If you didn't get it free with the FS CB, don't order it.

I more so want it for aesthetics but good to know. When it's on, you can definitely tell it's on, haha. I dont really care if it's not the best and brightest.

Just got my FS CB back from SC. They'd decided to replace my existing good one with a brand new one that has mechanical metal mounts on each end. Cool! It still looks super low profile and integrated. It still has the independently adjustable light intensity center flood and side ditch lights.
I have another appointment to do same for my other FS CB next Wednesday. Yay!

Still adhered, but no longer urethane, they are using 3M double sided tape instead.
