So I was at a stop light with my family in Conroe, TX. windows tinted and music at a moderate volume and some guy driving a…. SUBARU (fecking stereotypes dont fail) started booing me, nothing really offensive just continuos booing lol… nobody noticed and I played dumb, poor guy must have done it 20 times waiting for a response…

Felt a bit mad at first but kind of felt sorry for the guy later, it must be pretty sad living a live being so “simple minded”

Im not even a permanent resident here and somehow got involved in political crossfire lol…

Im three months into ownership of the CT and never had an issue until now, I think its best to ignore them, it makes them pass as un noticed and stupid if they get a response they win IMO.

Happy CTruckin!!!

Is it possible you're misinterpreting the situation and he was booing the fact that he's driving a Subaru and he wanted everyone around him to know his shame? You can ignore him, or option B is to dust him, put your hazard lights on and never let him see anything but your tail lights again for the rest of the drive.

Yep LAV drivers/owners (as my brother calls Subaru - Lesbian Assault Vehicles), first of all I would not be caught driving or sitting in a Subaru as a male. So the pronoun was just upset that you are a man, and the pronoun doesnt know what they are!!! I used to get many one finger salutes, but now I just ignore the douche bags and it drives them more crazy.

My two responses. One is for those who ask disingenuous questions about the truck. “I’ll never go back to gas or diesel.” That usually ends the conversations. Sometimes they follow-up with “what about range?” I say “I don’t know because I leave the house full each morning” The other for people who flip me off or say something derogatory. “Are you okay? Do I need to call someone for you?”

I had two Subaru encounters yesterday from different vehicles.

One was a thumb down.

The other was a smile and a nod from a guy riding shotgun.

Most of the reactions I get come from Subarus, trucks and kids. Unless I'm in a big city, then it's small sedans with dented panels and "coexist" stickers.

I live in The Woodlands and am in Conroe 4-5x a week and am surprised u got the reaction in Conroe. My only incidents have been a group of black girls were walking in front of me and one spit at my car and missed and then saw i was behind her and put her head down and walked off. I just laughed. I have had a couple of these monster truck morons give me a dirty look but thats about it- 99% positive with ppl always wanting to talk about it or take a picture.

So here's my Subaru/LAV encounter. To set the stage, I live in a small Lakeside community that is accessed by a single road in and out, about 15 km from the main town. This one guy driving a subi thought that it would be a good idea to give me the middle finger as he was passing the other way. This wasn't just a stealth one through the windshield, this was out the driver's window with a full-on FU. First time I was with my wife and the kids were in the back. My wife just looked at me, shook her head and gave me a subtle wow! Fortunately, the kids didn't notice. A few weeks later, same guy at a different spot on the road hits me again out the driver's window. I'm on my way to a meeting so I let it slide. Third time, I have my trailer loaded up with greens, on my way to the dump. This time he hits me and seeing as it's a Saturday afternoon and I'm by myself, I decide it's time to have a chat. I spin the truck around and follow him for about 10 km. He pulls off a side road up into the hills probably on his way home. I follow behind him. He eventually figures out that I'm going to follow him all the way home so he decides to pull over on a straight stretch of a quiet road. I pull up beside him, open my passenger window and politely say "you've been trying to get my attention for a while and now you have it. Is there something you'd like to discuss"? He stares at me, I can see he's a little flustered but he starts blurting out. "Elon is a fascist and you're driving a Nazi car"... and some other crap. I let him finish then calmly replied with "were you born retarded or is this self-inflicted from spending too much time on the Internet? At this point, I think he realized he was in over his head and maybe shouldn't be flipping off complete strangers in a small town. He then resorted to "leave me alone, just leave me alone". I told him that he was the one who wanted the attention and now he had it. He started to pull forward, I pulled forward alongside him. He stopped again and said just leave me alone. I calmly asked him "have you heard the term FAFO"? He just stared at me with beady eyes. I said it means "fuck around and find out". I said "if you keep fucking around… you're going to find out". At that point he just stared ahead hoping that I would go away. I pulled up ahead of him, did a U-turn and slowly came back. I stopped one more time driver's window to driver's window and calmly said "dude we both live in the same small town, you need to make better life choices". He kept staring ahead and I drove away. I pass him every once in a while on the road, he's learned his lesson...at least with me. Anyway, not suggesting we should do this, but I really had no choice. I had to put a stop to it.
