On a 2,000 mile trip from California to Tennessee - currently around 1800 miles driven over the last two days- amazingly not one smushed bug on the windshield! The windshield is absolutely clean while the frunk has a zillion smashed bugs. Appears that the angle of the windshield on the cybertruck is steep enough that bugs are carried over the windshield by the wind flow and doesn’t present a flat enough surface to smush the bugs guts into the windshield.

Also - the nav systems calculates the drive from charger to charger that leaves around 20 % charge reserve and lets you know when you have charged enough to have a 20% reserve at the next charger location. Using FSD has allowed us to effortlessly do 750 miles a day. Ride is smooth and no tire noise - and cockpit is huge and comfortable.

FSD has been flawless - not one intervention so far in 1700 miles - even backs into the charger locations.

Exhausting chore is plugging in the charger wand and unplugging it - kidding.

I was worried about taking the cyberbeast foundation on this long road trip - but it has been a wonderful automotive experience.

Better than my best expectations.

Hit some rain- put her in slippery surface mode and sloth and kept on cybertrucking—/

Just entered Tennessee.

Just use this on the frunk when doing long hauls. Makes it easier to cleanup the frunk afterwards. 😁

Coated entire truck with Pan-the-Organizer’s 8-Year “Clean” Ceramic coating (followed Out of Spec YT videos explicitly). Then used top coat of Tec 582 Ceramic Detail spray after washing. One spray of Windex on a Costco microfiber towel and bugs wipe off effortlessly. Usually follow that up with light spray of Tec 582 and dry MF towel wipe..

My truck is wrapped in blue vivid Ppf and I had the shop put a second layer of thick clear Ppf on top of the colored film for protection.

I like the idea of putting Saran Wrap on the front flat of the frunk - to create a peel able layer - will do this on the way back to California -

The windshield bug deflection is crazy good, I have takrn so many trips and it is awesome to not have to clean the windshield. The front end is usually a grave yard though but PPF and turtle wax hybrid ceramic spray makes it easy to spray it off.

I know you were charging around 20% but any guess on the range you would have achieved had you started 100% to 5%? Looking for confirmation on a minimum of 280 miles on a full charge using FSD and sloth or standard before I purchase

Turo in Nashville has one you can rent for a few days and you can simulate your commute.

Also with rainX, you will have a rain free windshield. I rarely use my wipers.

I'm over 4 hours from Nashville so likely won't have the time. I guess I could start considering Turo from Memphis.

Will a 2024 or 2025 be similar to the 2026 in efficiency using FSD?
