Does anyone have issues with the vehicle not locking and going to sleep after you walk away? This has haunted me for the last 6+ months. They had a bug fix, then the next update broke it again. I’m curious if anyone has experienced this same issue and if their dealer fixed the issue permanently.

No. I'm on Android. I know there are phone settings to connect to vehicle and if you have Bluetooth set to disconnect from vehicle before you step away, the CT won't know you left. It'd be neat if the cameras recognized you upon approach but, alas... Not an issue at work here but at another place, I can't even take my phone into the building so it'll have to be left behind (and disconnected).

Perhaps some innocuous setting on your phone is causing the issue.

you may have walked away door lock disabled… You can try resetting your phone key, you could also try pairing and un pairing your phone, trying a different device, and make sure you go to your settings Doors/locks and check that walk away door lock is enabled.

Thank you, I appreciate your suggestions. I have tried all of these items. Each time there is an update.
If I have a passenger, the vehicle will act as designed when they depart the vehicle. This issue is clearly tied to the driver's door.

I had this problem and tried everything except opening a ticket. Still had the problem. Then one day the problem was gone. Walk away door lock worked suddenly and never had the problem again. No idea what solved it. The problem lasted about 3 days and this was about 2 weeks ago. Just fyi. Probably not helpful…

I'm experiencing this exactly the same. It was fixed and came back. Now if the driver's door is not the one that was most recently closed it won't sleep when I walk away.

Mine will do this if I leave the passenger seat belt connected. I had to use the app to lock. I guess it thinks your passenger hasn’t left the vehicle.

Mine is the opposite, if the driver's door is only used, it will not lock.

This is a great point. I have all my seatbelts connected. I put backpacks or other items on the seats. To prevent the pop up, o buckle the belt.
Thanks for the note; I’ll see what Tesla comes up with today and try this if they do not figure it out.

I had the same problem after a software update and found out that the update somehow signed me out of my Tesla account, so I logged back in, did a reboot (which probably wasn't needed) and that fixed the problem.

I am also on android, samsung. I have not had that issue, I do have in the last 2 software updates, a long delay 1 in 3 times unlocking the CT with phone in my driveway.
