Why do you say that?

I finally replaced my ancient Galaxy S8+ for a Galaxy S26 last week and it charges quickly on Cybertruck's wireless charging pads, just like my 8 year old Samsung S8+ did. No excessive heat, just fast charging. Same with the wireless charging pads in my wife's 2024 Model 3 Performance on both of our Android phones.
Hey, unrelated but since you're rocking Android in a Tesla, I made an app called Sentry Editor on the Play Store for viewing and editing Sentry/dashcam clips. Thought you might find it useful

I think I posted earlier in this thread that all our iPhones, I personally have a 16 Pro Max, have charged just fine and they don’t overheat. I do just have a simple Temu silicone cover on it and I don’t know if that makes any difference but I’ve never had a problem so this seems to be isolated incidents.

I'm not doubting you haven't had any issues, but I can say with confidence that your wireless charge rate is reduced - either due to the silicone cover, or the physical-impossibility of the OEM pad lining up with a 16 Pro Max.

Maybe you're wirelessly charging at 5watts, and that is certainly OK for many. But if you want true >20w charging for an iPhone, you simply can't get it from the OEM pad.

Yeah, I have no idea of the charge rate and as far as I know on an iPhone, you can’t actually check how many Watts you’re getting it just shows charging.

guys, phone in charger, July-Aug, hot sun shinning directly on the phone
diff from MY/M3, for the CT the pads are directly in path of sun
i just turned the pads off in outlets, then use the magbak display charging mounts
no issue at all, wireless pads become a drop place for stuffo_O

I have mine mounted top left corner of my display. Running a MagSafe circle and an Apple 30w 120v brick, phone fully charges in about 10-15 mins. I rarely ever charge the phone in the house and with it screen mounted I can send texts, YouTube etc. never liked it down in the pocket.

Traded my ‘24 AWD Foundation Series VIN 90xx for a ‘26 Premium AWD on May 6 and the factory wireless charging pad works perfectly with our iPhone 17pro max & iPhone 17pro
Never worked at all on the ’24 even after it was replaced with the version with the heatsink.

Glad to hear. Instead of purchasing a new vehicle, I just bought a “chill” charger on Amazon for $40. (A charger with a fan on the backend so the phone will charge in nearly every environment.)

I paid a similar amount but I “upgraded” to a 300 mile 24 foundation. Albeit with free supercharging.
Not sure I follow your FSD plus tax subtraction logic but it’s still a good deal.

Ok. But you already paid for FSD at another time. As part of your foundation tax or to purchase it on a post foundation truck.
