Agreed. The CT does pretty well through water in wading videos but lakes or oceans are a different situation and does anyone expect any non amphibious vehicle to be able to do a lake?

was obviously a joke/meme, but I still stand by my statementStates run those regs sir.
It's all good where we're not all the same height, so I get it the whole stand thing. Education is key.was obviously a joke/meme, but I still stand by my statement
You realize the majority of EVs built in China are bought by the government and immediately sent to boneyard lots? Their numbers are inflated and propped up by the same government that owns BYD. If you're blind enough to think they're anywhere near the production quality and efficiency levels of Toyota(The industry standard by which all other manufacturing is measured against) then you need to do a little more research. If you're falling for the pomp and circumstance presented through the propaganda in Shenzhen, then you should talk to people outside the influence of the government in Hong Kong.We are speaking generally, the largest concern on ICE trucks is intake. If you want a white paper response, we can Grok that for easier understanding of the finer details. For us, as prior 4 Runner owners, we are just concerned with Intakes for wading and, of course, vent lines, but the first move is Intakes. It all depends on how deep you are going with being submerged.
With all due respect, have you been to China recently? I would recommend getting up to speed you seem to be outdated on their releases. BYDs production rate is to be respected even Toyota's CEO stated that they are fighitng for their lives as a company against companies like BYD because they cannot compete scale wise. I wouldnt be so cocky especially if you havent been to China. I look foward to going back this year as Shenzen is simply incredible.
I love Tesla and im all in on their space but Chinese EVs have surpassed Tesla in terms of features and scale. We know the subsidy of course and the government influence. But one cannot deny their prowess. I would have to say Tesla maintains FSD leads and still a product i prefer, but I will state that if you have actually been in a Chinese BYD or others, you will see quality is not an issue anymore as in the past.
The lines have blurred and since Tesla is moving away from personal cars the GAP will get worse. Only a matter of time.
I want Tesla to make newer cars , but Tesla seems to not want to.
Conspiracy? Um, there's an abundant amount of proof of brand new EVs & EBikes going straight to boneyards and getting subsidies paid out. Why would a competitor domestic EV brand (GWM) call BYD out for this, if it was just a conspiracy?I have family that live there lol. Leave the conspiracy theories alone that stuff is toxic. You just sound very uninformed with all due respect. Good luck with your theories and take some trips there for Pete sake because that was horrible man.
Dude visit China get off Youtube. The cure to ignorance is experience. You sound crazy right now.Conspiracy? There's a reason that the wealthy in China still buy Apple and Tesla products, when they have their own domestic brands... Did you pay attention to their attempt to compare their luxury brand ICE to Bentley/Mayback/RR a couple years ago?
The only China(West Taiwan) worth visiting is East Taiwan. I've helped TSMC for my day job and seeing their version of quality control, repeatability and amount of waste was an eye opener for me. Not to mention the lack of worker safety. It's a very different culture from here in the west. It's a major part of the reason the TSMC fab in AZ has been so delayed and their frustrations with OSHA. Even Samsung has run in to lots of legal issues with their cultural differences in Texas in regards to worker safety: https://www.vice.com/en/article/ice...hows-big-techs-reliance-on-exploitative-labor .Dude visit China get off Youtube. It's fortunate you're not our travel agent—I’d replace you faster than a Chick-fil-A sandwich disappears. Again, I recommend you keep educating yourself about China. Sadly, you seem quite uninformed about current developments, but that’s understandable given your lack of firsthand experience. You're more than welcome to buy their domestic brand if you so choose. You're not going to be able to convince outsiders or the wealthy Chinese of it though.
Ok Chick-fil-A boy... No one is buying your west Taiwan nonsense. It sure is laughable. You can keep buying that Chinesium though. I'm sure it'll last... There's a reason even the wealthy Chinese don't waste their time with the domestic crap. It's fortunate you're not our travel agent—I’d replace you faster than a Chick-fil-A sandwich disappears. I used to sound much like you do now—uninformed—until I visited frequently and realized how foolish propaganda can be. You might think the situation is reversed, but like many places in the world, most people haven't traveled much beyond YouTube these days.
Clearly, you're not well-versed in China. We invest there and have family connections, so our perspective is quite different since we visit every year. Honestly, what you posted is somewhat laughable.
Cheers! I can't wait to go back—more testing and exploration await.
Apparently, on his 3rd joyride in this lake, the charge port was being shorted with the low voltage charging sense circuit exposed to water(wade mode should have disabled this circuit), so it prevented him from driving. If I put a gasket sealed plug in the port, I should be able to one up him. Anyone else want to join in on the fun?UPDATE: BODYCAM FOOTAGE RELEASED.

Okay, Golden Corral senior-citizen discount chocolate-fountain lover. Don't you have a pickleball appointment to go to with that terrible uncle Jessie full house comeback? Are you part of the Knee Slappers level 5 "I Declare War" card group at your local Rotary Club? LOL, hey man, you started the cheesy jokes, I got a ton. Just stop hating because of your lack of intelligence on the topic. I mean its quite obvious and im being honest. Resulting in personal catcalls is crazy work, but that's what happens in today's world: people critique the pie but never make one or have one. Zero firsthand experience is the vibe these days. Trust me, I hire folks. Your behavior is a common symptom in the workforce, a bag of opinions on things, but no actual experience to unpack the opinions, just internet slop.Ok Chick-fil-A boy...
