Going to try terro. These tiny ants are all over the place on Long Island. In the driveway, in the house, in the grass.

The duct tape worked for a day or two but I think they got some spiked shoes and they are running across the duct tape now! Smart bastards. So, I bought terro gel drops and globbed that on the cable and where the cable lays.

I was wondering if they would develop a stepping bridge of stuck ants to walk over.

Terro worked. Ants are gone in one day but I loaded up the tape, cable and tear off card board piece to put drops on, with more drops (more like a stream) to make sure they do not come back.
Dam ants.

You need to start by cleaning the power cable very effectively. Maybe with alcohol wipes. They follow each others scent trail and it’s the only way they know where to go.
