I'm sure if Tesla stuck to the original pricing model they would have won this comparison. Price seems to be a major factor, with the Rivian called a relative bargain.
Rivian is more than a relative bargain. Rivian spends $43K more to build these, than they sell for. That is an absolute bargain. Maybe not an ideal business practice, but I'm not an MBA, and this is not investment advice.

So I guess the F150 Lightning is an even better bargain since Ford losses $100K on evey one.

I’ve always been one to turn and look before changing lanes. Some driver instructors want you to adjust your mirrors to allow you to see around a blind spot without turning your head. With the M3 and the CT, you have to use the sensors provided to change lanes. With FSD in the M3, the computer, or neural network, eliminates any and all blind spots! This feature is clearly missed by MT authors. I’m fine with the CT being ranked 3rd. But really, what other vehicle has made such a splash on release, and is in more demand that a CT? What other vehicle can you buy for $100k and sell the next day for $150k? If the CT is still selling used in a year for more that it cost new, wont that be amazing! What will you do in a year?

Yes, if you're shopping for best price versus cost, it would be Ford #1, and Rivian #2. I would argue Rivian gets more for the dollar spent, than Ford, but in that argument, Tesla would be #1, because their truck is better, and likely very profitable.

As once famously said “Resistance is futile” ? Trucks are the last bastion of legacy auto being run over by EVs. They will (and are) doing their best to fight back (unsurprisingly). People aren’t stupid however. How many Hummer EVs sold since existence ? Less than CTs sold this month or close to it I gather. The wave is coming.

My experience, the cybertruck has great visibility. Not sure what is the lousy part. I guess if you don’t look at the screen for the rear, you can call it lousy visibility. The cons are stupid. Oh my god, finger prints!! What does feelings got to do with the cons. Tell me what is undeveloped or unfinished.
I should complain to Jeep about the fingerprints I get. I never knew that was an engineering or design mistake.

We should consider the source. MT is a very reliable source of opinion that matters /s

2021 car of the year : MB E class. ?
2018 car of year: Alfa Romeo ?
2015 car of the year: VW Golf ?
2011 car of the year: Chevy volt ?
2010 car of the year: Ford Fusion ?

These cars have made such a contribution to the history of mobility. Such vision they have. Bravo MT. ??

Has anyone said what the cost to build each CT is currently? Without that info we don't know how much better off Tesla is until they reach the breakeven point.

I don't think anyone has said yet. Sandy has said over and over again, that Cybertruck technology is production cost cutting. He also mentioned that the production line has few line workers, compared to other production lines. He has also said that giga castings are cost efficient, and that 48 volt architecture saves on the cost and weight of raw materials. Because the Cybertruck is so new, and the production line is not fully optimized, though it may be getting close considering the out going production head said they are at 1000 per week now. Tesla may not have fully maximized economies of scale yet. Pound for pound, Cybertruck should be the cheapest car Tesla builds, as production efficiencies and economies of scale ramp. Especially as they bring down the cost of the 4680, which will use local battery minerals

MT is just like the MSM, they hate Tesla and Musk.
Not really. They don't like Tesla because Tesla doesn't give them any ad $.

Why would they bite the hands that feed them? More importantly: Why would MSM be "nice" or fair to Tesla?

Musk is disrupting 3 separate industries all at once: transportation, energy, and media. So of course he will get hate on. The onus is on smart consumers to see BS from facts.
