They are kind of not wrong. On paper and practically the other 2 beat it in most measurable ways. But the CT has something you cannot quantify, an aura of presence and coolness the others do not.

Right now the CT is the most expensive. After FS is over, it will be in the middle.

For me buying the CT was not a practical or reasonable choice, but I enjoy it a lot. I hope to stay with it at least 10 years.

My experience, the cybertruck has great visibility. Not sure what is the lousy part. I guess if you don’t look at the screen for the rear, you can call it lousy visibility. The cons are stupid. Oh my god, finger prints!! What does feelings got to do with the cons. Tell me what is undeveloped or unfinished.

As someone who used to subscribe to all 3 of the car magazines, these things can't die fast enough. What a joke!

The fact that they couldn't decide if the Hummer was the best or worst truck should tell you everything you need to know.

Also, this is a stupid comparison! It's a "performance handling" comparison. Spoiler alert: the one that ISN'T wearing all terrain tires wins.

As someone who has owned a Cybertruck for over 2 months, it's great!

The point of stainless steel is you don't need to keep it clean. Dirty is the new sexy
Exactly! I just love the way it looks. I bought bunch of stuff like IronX, Bar Keeper Blah, etc. etc. and have yet to even open any of those. I just drive it thru a touchless car as needed and clean the interior with ONR solution (I like the inside to be spotless), but have 0 issues with fingerprints or anything else. I find it so much easier to maintain than my black Model S.

I have a bird poop stain that wont go away. The manual might be right and it can cause lasting damage. I have not given up yet though, there might be a product or method to clean it. I plan on wrapping eventually to make it easier to hide when it is dirty, because historically I only wash my cars once a year.

MT's Cons on Cybertruck being unfinished and underdeveloped does have some truth to it. Many promised features are not yet available mainly FSD, Autopilot, and Vision Park Assist are all coming via OTA, soon. The part about the SS body, come on, I have owned many black cars and truck; they are just as hard to keep clean. As far as lousy visibility; to the direct rear yes but every other directions, it's fine for me. In fact, I would say the forward visibility is great, aided by the super short and sloppy hood.
So, I see a lot of subjective bitching here, lol. Give everyone another 6 months to add features and additional refinement, then a comparison rematch is in order
Btw, I currently own a few Rivians, so I am happy for Rivian too:geek:

I agree. I spend less and less time obsessively cleaning my vehicles as I get older. Not sure why. I guess I just prefer driving/riding them. The Motortrend assumption that “SS is a nightmare to keep clean” might or might not be a fact, but it is predicated on an assumption that the owner cares. That invalidates the score (on that point) for me. FWIW, I have yet to wash mine. ?

Motortrend still foul Tesla won't give them a tester for free.
Motortrend is actually one of the few publications that gets early access to Teslas. They got the Model S Plaid and took it to the drag strip. They also got the Model 3 refresh months before anyone else in the US.

Sure but they did not get the Cybertruck and they were cranky about it.
