When they put the screw in my pedal, the screwdriver slipped and put a big gash in the pedal next to the screw. I saw it right away and tried to ignore it, but after the conversation with the repair consultant, I said something like “I tried to ignore it, but I’m going to need a new pedal”. He said he would order a new one right away. A couple of weeks go by with no update. I put in a service request to replace the pedal and sent them a picture. Supposedly now there is a new pedal on order and I have an active service request. Tesla can mess up like anyone else. So far, for me, they have been very good about making it right.
