Hey everyone,

As a huge fan of bass and subwoofers ?, I'm curious if anyone has experience upgrading the subwoofers in their Cybertruck. While the stock audio quality is impressive, I'm used to the thundering power of a 4k watt 2x12 inch subwoofer setup from my previous vehicle. I'm really itching for louder bass in my Cybertruck ?.

I've scoured Google and YouTube but haven't found anyone who has upgraded the two 8-inch subwoofers under the seats. I'm also considering another route: creating a custom enclosure in the rear of the truck for 2 12-inch subs ?.

Has anyone tackled this upgrade or have any insights on the best approach? I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences!

Thanks! ?

The electrical system in the Cybertruck is 48v, I highly doubt there are any compatible aftermarket audio components. Also, I’d bet that the source audio is being sent to the factory amp digitally via the Etherloop, so it’s not like you’ll find a red and white analog wire or something to tap into for the subwoofer source audio to run your own amp

Light harmonic which specializes in Tesla Audio Upgrades is currently working on a sound system upgrade which is likely to include the subwoofer. I'm curious about if it will be a conversion to sealed subs with amp or if they will leave it as ported because I strongly prefer sealed subwoofers.

Cheers

Thanks, ordered them last week and will be here tomorrow. Looking forwards to when the subwoofers are available mid to late July.

Wow, now we're talking! Second the motion for a first hand review. And yeah I get it on the subs. Everyone is blown away by the sound system, but they are clearly not the degenerate never-stopped-being-teenagers that we are.

I took heat for saying the same on this forum back in February, glad to see the bass heads/audio nuts have showed up!

Although the OEM speakers sound amazing in the truck, us audio heads can never be satisfied with our setups. I just need to find time next week to install these and will update this thread with my honest opinion. I'll also take stats for before and after in terms of decibel levels to share with you guys.

Let me see if I can wire up two hammers behind the driver's seat to beat on your head in time with the music. Would that help? Would you like black rubber mallets to match the seats or stainless steel to match the exterior?

Looking forward to this review. Everyone on here has stated how amazing the stock speakers are currently so I am definitely interested if you notice a difference.

FWIW, not sure this has been posted anywhere else on the board, but I had to take the rear panel off to find a bead that was rolling around on the truck floor after my wifes bracelet exploded. I wasn't going to make it much longer than the drive home before the thing drove me absolutely insane. Anywhoo, here's what it looks like

Theres a youtube vid of a “Tint World” store in Florida that has a CT with custom speaker enclosure under backseat.
