Probably a good idea to ignore that video. There are tons of folks on this forum that has already successfully applied it. Colton did not have the latest kit, nor did he reach out to @ProtectaClear for clarification on the steps he was confused on.

Yeah I have issues with how that review was done, from stating that it was a “Ceramic” coating down to the way it was reapplied when tacky past 30 seconds. I was literally cringing when he went back 2-3 times trying to fix it when it states to leave the 1st coating as is.

Yea he’s since apologized for misspeaking, and extended an offer to Protectaclear to go to Colorado and film a video with a proper tutorial. He pinned his statement in the comments of the video.

Unfortunately he applied the ProtectaClear incorrectly as he really didn't understand the difference between it and a ceramic. The application process is very different as I posted about here early last month.

I would suggest watching this Training Video that we released that goes through everything you need to know for a successful application and result.

We did reach out to Colton this morning to schedule a time to do another video at his shop. I would love the opportunity to show him the amazing results we have seen here in house.

I’m gonna try it. I talked to ProtectaClear to verify I have the updated kit (I’ve been busy the the kit has just been sitting there). I have to watch the new video (probably a couple times). And do agree that Colton kept touching it which is a big no-no.

I had to post my experience and failure with the product. I was gas lit just like what they're doing to Out of Spec Detailing now. Just posted my detailed review. Hope it helps.

You'll see why. See my review. It looks good when applied until it starts dripping while curing. Fixing it at that point is just a no go.

@GMONEYPEPE had his coating applied by professionals and said it turned out great. I have those same guys coming next Monday to do my truck:

https://www.cybertruckownersclub.co...ad-the-ct-coated-w-protectaclear-socal.17189/
Maybe it's what I should have done since it was impossible for me. Then again, bugs and bird droppings started to eat through the coating a few weeks into it even though according to Everbrite "Iooks like I poured the coating on and then spread it" Paying $1K to strip it and probably another $1K to have the DIY ceramic coating put on..so sad.

I would invite you to try it and then comment. My experience was horrible.

I would think a controlled environment (large garage, shop) is one of the requirements for a professional looking finish.

I wouldn’t even think about applying the product outside.

My issue with it is they came on here and presented the product as kind of a miracle fix and something easily applied. I was stoked to order it. Never once did they mention any drawbacks or problems that could arise when applying this. Every testimony posted here has had issues. At the very least it's a lot of fk work with no guarantee
I wanted it to work and spent the time and effort to try and make it work, just to be gaslit when asking for help. That was the last straw for me. People can order and apply, I encourage it. It just did not work for me.

I would agree. But I’ve ceramic coated three cars to perfection on the same driveway. Order it and try it. I would love the feedback.
