seems like you got a legit invite due to your place In line and not cuz of lts program imo
I think you’re right. 3 hrs following discovery of my configuration access on the website, I got an actual email which only mentioned “early reservation holder”, nothing about the LTS. Remains to be seen whether my LTS will result in the suggested “early delivery”, and expedite VIN assignment…

I've been a very long time share holder and haven't received anything. Probably because I've already been offered a vin twice but I don't want the Foundation series truck. I want to spend the $$ on he extended range battery and not FSD. Does anyone have a clue as to when Tesla will finish the "Limited edition" Foundation series?

Betting line is end of 2024 or early 2025 and/or when Tesla has completed running through the entire order backlog one time. If you believe the latter guesstimate, it could be 2026.

I know Tesla is just maximizing profit, but I still think it's bad customer relations. I ordered my truck the night it was unveiled in October 2019.

You can order a Foundation series whenever you get the invite, which you probably already have.

Look, it's better than the early Plaid markups which got buyers nothing other than being able to say FIRST!

Or how about every other automaker with a hot vehicle? Those 25-50-100K dealer markups for an early C8 Corvette, or Raptor or Hummer EV also got buyers nothing in value back.

Me? I'm not a fan of the seemingly infinite "limited edition" Foundation Series. Not because of the business strategy, which I think is very fair and better than anything traditional OEM's have ever done, but because of the lack of communication about how Limited is Limited. I think Tesla should have just said we're making Foundation Series for all of 2024 or say the first 50K or 100K units are all Foundation Series. Pick something, anything, people who prefer to wait against can measure against - time or unit counts - and stick to it.

I couldn't agree more! Limited edition has no real value if you make an unlimited number of them.

On delivery day last fall when they opened up the ordering page it was as usual very unclear what was going on so I ordered another truck to be safe. When I submitted the long term shareholder paper work I specifically submitted it for my original rn# which I had already configured on 2/13. True to form instead of accelerating the delivery of my already ordered truck they sent me an email allowing me to order a second truck. Either that was intentional because they are not going to accelerate deliveries or it was a mistake but of course there is no one to call to get it straightened out
