3D print mount for Uniden radar detector

Here is the updated 3d file. Enjoy! You will need to use PA6-CF or PA12-CF material as others may not windstand the high cabin temperature and eventually deform the mount. When printing, I enabled support and layer height 0.17 (Bambu studio with X1C printer)

Are you by chance going to make ones that fit other detectors?

It is easy to modify for other detectors but i don't have HW so can't test to make sure it fit.

You can use Xometry to print in ASA black material which is auto-grade for withstanding heat and humidity, sun, etc.

Will Nylon 12 really have issues at 90-100F?

I ask because Nylon 12 is $20 at Xometry,
But CF or ASA/Solid is $80/65.

From what I read, Nylon 12 should be ok at that temp, but I don’t know anything about it.

As for UV concerns, I thought I read the windshield has pretty significant UV protection.

That is amazingly nice of you to offer. I actually immediately ordered the $20 regular nylon 12 as soon as you posted it, after a bit of reading on Nylon 12 and crossing my fingers for $20 (shipped).

Nylon 12 should be fine for high temperature resistant. But it may not stiff enough so when put screw through, don't put hard on it.

In that case, I should stock more ASA filaments (two times cheaper than PA6-CF)

This one doesn’t block the camera in the cabin. The detector sits back closer to the windshield.
