Cybertruck's windshield wash feature. The current design, where the wiper sprays only while going up, is ineffective in cleaning the windshield. The brief spray duration does not allow sufficient time for the moisture to reach and remove dirt or debris. A simple software modification could resolve this by enabling the washer to spray in both directions, ensuring thorough cleaning. While the intention to conserve wiper fluid is appreciated, the current implementation compromises the vehicle's cleaning capabilities.

Not quite the same but the front camera has a nice little spray feature to clean it.

I’d have liked to see that on the back camera as it gets pretty dirty too

That seems so logical. I’m sure it was a cost savings move (running a hose to the rear from the front washer reservoir, an added pump or valve, etc) but still.

Maybe on CT2 haha!!

This would be a nice improvement.

Plus one. Could definitely use more fluid on windscreen.

We had a long road trip into the woods over weekend.

Bugs and dust accumulated and with so little fluid coming out it was hard to get clean.

Wound up using a squeegee at the Stewart’s shop we supercharged at.

definitely agree. They could also slow down the downstroke to give it more time.

If you have fluid on the front edge it will leave fluid on the windshield as it retracts to it's home position. I think this would be problematic.

the fluid won't be on the front edge because the sprayers are only on the back edge. that aspect won't change, it will just be more effective in cleaning the windshield than it is now

Yeah but I looked, I don’t see if the current spray head can spray both sides ? Maybe need minor HW change or retrofit.

I don't mean it needs to spray on both sides of the wiper, just that it needs to spray while it's going on the downswing as well as the up. It currently only sprays fluid on the upswing.

Definitely agree, even light dust and a few soft bugs aren't worth trying to clean because the wiper just isn't going to do it.

Mine is leaving ugly marks in the center of the windshield because the wiper is not cleaning that section properly. It looks like if the wiper folds when is returning to the vertical position and leaves a trail behind. I don't know if this is a faulty wiper blade or just "by design" a faulty wiper in general. Not liking it to be honest.
