Didn't the Out of Spec guy do a long distance shootout with three EV trucks and his summary at the end was they were all great, all finished fairly close in time, so get the truck you want ???

I challenge you to cancel the other two orders now and purchase a Chevy and Rivian, now! Best of luck.

^THIS

SUCH A GREAT POINT -
Only way this makes sense is if OP shows us that he’s ordered a Rivian or Chevy instead.

And then we still reserve right to ridicule.

“BUH-BYE”

Hello all .. while I’m not planning to cancel mine (because my business is not about towing nothing really) I’m understand his point , the reason I say that is because I own a model S 2022 and going from Tampa to Miami I only charge once going there and 2 coming back home.. we decided to rent from Turo the CT.. had to charge twice going there and 3 times coming back! ? it is an amazing vehicle but wasted almost 2 hours charging :( .at 75-80 mph with no load just 3 carry on .. I cannot imagine with a trailer .. again, my order stays there for now. Good weekend !

Thanks for cancelling yours so someone who actually appreciates it can have it. You are comparing apples to oranges as range is so much different even among the MODEL S variants which you did not specify See below using a CT AWD variant.

lol do you missed the beginning of the comment? I said IM NOT canceling my order , again .. thank you for the map and the trip plan .. I didn’t spent the amount of money I spent renting the CT for you to call me a liar ? you want more details? Ok.. it was a CT Foundation with 600 miles OD AWD , my car is a model S Long range 2022.. I’m not saying again one more time that I’m cancelling my order, my business is local and will work perfectly fine, but I’m saying the true and the true is that with NO LOAD I stopped 3 times to charge ! Thats the true .. and again .IM NOT CANCELLING MY ORDER BECAUSE MY BUSINESS DOES NOT REQUIRED LONG DISTANCE OR TOWING ANYTHING.

I’m with Archer. I live in West Texas and destinations are far apart and it’s mostly hilly. My Model Y is mostly a city car as real world range at 80% is really more like 250 miles, and I can’t count on a charger station on every corner like a gas station yet. I can drive my 2014 pickup from San Angelo to Odessa and back and then return before the truck is thirsty. Real world in the Cybertruck is going to be one way and then a 30 minute charge stop. If I go to Colorado Springs I’ll have to go two hours out of my way to have charging stations along my route.

I’m waiting for a 500 mile version, and without an extra pack that doesn’t fill up my bed. The only thing stopping me from buying a Rivian now is I love FSD.

Yes, I received my invite. Yes, I sadly passed on it.

I don’t know what kind of business this guy has but does racing between Florida and California and towing a deal breaker? If these are a big factor, he or anyone similar to his requirements shouldn’t be buying an EV Truck. Yeah Rivian and Silverado both can go further, but honestly that’s only because of the bigger battery pack and not because they‘re more efficient. CT are more efficient per mile. My point is that no EV trucks can beat ICE trucks on those categories. Lastly, I don’t when the other reservations are up, but I really doubt Tesla will make drastic changes to meet your needs. Maybe in couple of years or more. One more thing, this is just me. I have been an EV driver for over 12 years now and I have to say, 99.8% of the time I drive around town and 250 to 300 miles of more then plenty to go all day plus some. When I need to go out of town or on a road trip, I just rent a car. I’m sure my EVs can make it, but time is more precious to me and which route I take to make it to my designation.

Goosh I agree 100% with you, also it is a mixed combination because when you go far the time is very important .. we don’t have an extra hour or two when we are traveling for vaca or work , you always say.. flight or drive and all it is because time and $.

did you see the article today where the guy actually took delivery and discovered it really didn't fit into his now-divorced life, as in it couldn't fit in his new apartment parking area, so he wanted tesla to take it back? can't remember who wrote it but it was just that, a really, really pathetic attempt at a hit piece, quite comical, in fact.
Yeah, I saw that. That's not going to change people's minds buying the vehicle. I fell in love with this truck the minute I saw it. Some of the complaints about this truck are ludicrous.
