I’m shocked how many builders build garages to the minimum standard of 20’. That just seems nutts in the modern era.
Come to the Bay Area, the townhouses that cost more than $1.3M have the single, narrow tandem garages. I had to squeeze my old X4 into one, was ridiculous.

Fair enough, your geography mandates space efficiency. The price for the other advantages of a beautiful area. Politically they prob would prefer nothing bigger than a civic in CA anyway.

My garage depth is 224.5”, 225” if I remove the drywall. I have space behind it to expand but then there’s the cost and hassle of construction.

When CT was originally unveiled it was obviously too long, but now it technically would fit but it’s probably ridiculously tight. I guess I have to rent on turo or wait for test drive availability to be sure.

Any East Bay owners willing to test out my garage for me??

You're in San Leandro!? I've been watching all your videos to prepare for picking up our Cybertruck and they've been very helpful, so thanks for all your hard work on those. We picked ours up today and it is awesome!! I'm over in Castro Valley - we'll probably see you driving around!

Our garage is long enough to accommodate a washer and dryer against the back wall, but I thought it would still be a tight fit. Just picked ours up today and relieved to see it fits okay - we can still get by to do the laundry, (I'm standing next to the washer to take this photo.) Can't open the tailgate with the garage door closed unless I pull it up against the washer, but there's no real need to do that anyway.
Tesla Cybertruck Cybertruck doesn't quite fit in my standard garage. Yours? IMG_6648

Wow!!! Congrats on CyberTruck!!! See you around town!! ?

We hang around Castro Valley from time to time! Sometimes we stop by Pampas Cafe in Castro Valley or Eon Cafe in Hayward :)

Thanks for watching my videos! Glad they helped you prepare! ??

We now really appreciate that Tesla shrunk the CT down! Look at the difference between my F150 (just sold) and the CT where there is a walkaway to that side door. Its a huge impact when taking out the garbage.

100% that's ALWAYS on the back of my mind, even when I parallel park on the streets. I don't want to accidently open the tailgate and hit someone's vehicle!
Yep, I accidentally opened the tailgate from the screen on the dashboard. Might be good to have a 2ndary tab that comes up to confirm so that you hit it twice to open

Back it in?
I have a standard two car garage and I have stuff in it. I can back the truck up to 2 ft from the wall and the door will close properly. However, I'm stuck because my wife's car will be there and the truck door can't really open wide enough so I have to get out in the passenger side, but then I'm stuck on that side so I have to open up the tonneau cover and climb into the bed and then climb back out in order to get into my house. Or I could just choose to live in the truck. But my wife has come knocking on the window a few times already so I should probably go home.

I was very nervous parking the CT would be a challenge without the parking assist of my Lightning. The only reason I'm happy the CT is six inches shorter is that the extra margin of error made it easy to live without the about-to-hit-a-wall-beep.

Be sure to check your measurements. Yes I could squeeze it in, but the way my garage it setup there is a wheel stop about 2 (EDIT: 3) feet away from the wall that I would need to climb up. It would be so close that going in front or behind the truck would not be an option. Basically it would be Gandalf and it shall not let anyone pass.

Mine just fits in my garage with 10” to spare. Gotta make sure the truck is straight

My garage is shorter than average creating just over 1” to spare for the CT, which I don’t actually have yet, but this could be a deciding factor.

This would typically be impossible to accommodate, but with the front camera I’m thinking I can maybe reliably get it to 1” in front without hitting the wall. Current owners, please tell me if I’m crazy or not.
Not crazy… front cam helps alot… I’m gonna screw in a 3/4 inch plank to the studs so if my aim is off… I won’t crunch the wallboard.

If you can squeeze her in there, you can always use summon to scoot it out of the way when you need to get by. Idk if the myq works like homelink but homelink will open the garage and scoot out of the way... whenever that feature becomes available i mean
My Q is working fine but I haven’t played with my summon feature as the CT is the only thing in the garage.
