I'm looking for a high-quality soft cooler that is a good fit for the frunk but have been having trouble finding accurate dimensions given the irregular shape of the frunk.
From what I can gather, these are the relevant dimensions:
Front to back: 13" (or is it 14"or 15"?), if placed somewhat centrally.
Height: An easy 15", at least up the back wall of the frunk in the middle area. Still unclear how quickly the height diminishes towards the front (if at all) if using a 15" tall item.
Width: for my purposes it doesn't matter, as I don't want a cooler wider than 25".
Because most soft coolers, at least the ones that aren't hybrid hard/soft coolers, can crush a little with no harm, I'm thinking I might want to slightly oversize on the height and let the front of the frunk lid crush the leading edge slightly. I use coolers all the time, not just on road trips, and I like the versatility of a larger cooler for grocery shopping, etc. I don't want a cheap flimsy "cool bag" with less than 1/2" insulation, preferably 3/4", for ice retention on road trips. I will probably add some insulation underneath and on the sides/back to extend ice retention too.
Questions:
1) Can any early owners provide better measurements of the central area of the frunk with the lid closed? I'm particularly interested in how the clearance works at the upper leading edge as the frunk closes. I would wait until I receive my own Cybertruck (I've had a VIN for weeks) and just try out different coolers but I never find what I want in local shops anyway, so I have to go off of cooler dimensions published by the manufacturer when mail-ordering.
2) Has anyone found a larger soft cooler that maximizes the space in the frunk? I'm not looking to maximize the width because I will have other uses for the remaining space (but I would like a cooler at least 21" wide, preferably 23"-25" wide). All dimensions are exterior.
I know it's pretty difficult to measure the space where the frunk lid closes but I bet someone can get creative and provide a reasonably good idea of the available space.
