Current Cybertruck owners can you tell us what you think about the steering wheel? Specifically the shape of the wheel. Did it take time to adjust to the shape? Love it or hate it?

It's like no other steering wheel on the market so want to know what your thoughts are?

Thanks!

I quite like it and it felt natural to me pretty much right away. The only thing I'm still getting used to are the turn signal buttons. In particular if I'm turning in a low speed situation I haven't kicked the habit of moving my hands to the top of the wheel like I have to go hand-over-hand (which I don't).

The steer by wire system with rear steer is simply amazing. I know everyone says that, but you don't really get it till you drive one (I didn't, at least). Nothing this big should be this nimble in traffic, but it is.

Initially i thought it was weird but you will be surprised how easy for you to adapt it. it is much better than the round steering wheel since you don't really need to turn much. It is perfect on CT due to the SBW. I drove my wife's car the other day, felt the round one is so bulky which i never felt before.

If they had offered round wheel as an option during order I would have taken it, only to regret it once I got to try the steer by wire. Adjusted instantly and prefer it now. It’s also easy to switch back and forth between my CT and my wife’s Y.

That Cyber steering wheel would be perfect for my driving style. I love how there is open space to grip the lower middle area of it, so I can cruise while holding on with one hand, and sip coffee with the other hand, but I think the photos the OP posted here are not the same as other photos I've seen of the steering wheel.

Took less than an hour to get used to. The wakeup call was how hard its was to steer my other car a few weeks later.

Squircle is life, haha!!

It seems like a simple shape, but once you drive with it a while, you start to realize that a lot of thought went into its design.

The shape works so well because of the SbW (which has to be experienced to be fully appreciated).

When I first sat in a CT at a showroom, I thought the squircle was going to be too small. Not until I took delivery was I able to see how nearly perfect it is.

It’s literally perfect. Drive by wire makes it so easy to use, almost like a game controller to drive your truck. Easy to get used and even easier to use. Lock to lock is half a turn. I mean, genius.

The squircle wouldn’t work if the Cybertruck didn’t not have steer by wire. Because we do not have to make multiple rotations, using the squircle is similar to using a gaming controller especially due to its smaller size compared to other steering wheels. After recently driving a MX for a bit over a week during service with a yoke, the yoke felt unsafe when making multiple rotations that is not a circular shape IMO but maybe it takes time to get used to.

I’m able to drive with my left hand over the top flat portion of the squircle or position both hands on the top angled locations.

Overall the shape and drive fits the Cybertruck, and is unlike other vehicles.

I like the squircle, it's comfy and small enough to not get in the way. But the real innovation, as mentioned by others, is the steer-by-wire. It's awesome!

Until the Cybertruck gets FSD, the one downside to the squircle is I can't use my knee for lane-keeping. I can only turn right using knee steering. I will be very glad when we finally get FSD, I never knew how much I would miss it.
