Overwhelmingly positive. But I'm still wishing for the day that no one cares anymore and I can go back to being anonymous.

Agreed. Truck is getting so much attention that I’m basically setting up appointments for people who have asked to see the truck/ride/test drive. I feel like I’m a celebrity’s agent booking them into public appearances lol

Multiple people have told me that the only thing people talk about at work is my truck… it will be nice to go back to normal when the hype dies down but it will also be great to remember how big of a deal it was.

This thing makes cherished memories!

I actually chose to drive our 2017 Model S to multiple home improvement stores over the last several days just because I wasn’t feeling super sociable. I’m normally happy to talk about the truck, give tours, etc. but I just wasn’t feeling it.

I’ve had lots of great experiences, but also some days it’s a little much on the negative. I knew it would grab attention when I ordered it back in 2019, so I always planning on PPF wrapping it the week I got it (which I did, shoutout to the Tsportline DIY kit)
The biggest issues I have is when it’s parked, I have people touching the panels, touching the glass to look into it, drawing dicks on the car, it’s been cheesed (throwing cheese slices at the front vehicle, it was parked again) diesels rolling coal (kinda funny half the time I can see it before they try, and just outrun them)
But in all I still love the truck, but I agree some days I don’t want to deal with it, and just end up taking my model 3.

I ordered mine today… this is the thing I look forward to the least… really don’t like being flashy and drawing attention…

but I love the tech and want the truck to replace my Silverado… ?

I’m excited for them to be everywhere… when will that happen?!?

Two years later ... the Cybertruck barely gets a look at least out here in CA. I'm really glad I waited until 2026 to buy one. They're rare as hens teeth and no one cares ... perfect!

Glad I bought in '24; no regrets. Yes, there was some negative attention, but there was FAR more good interactions.

My recent 1.5 hour Cybertruck test drive turned zero heads here in SoCal. They are quite plentiful on our roadways. Tesla‘s are as common here as the old VW Bugs were in the 60‘s and 70’s.

My recent visit to Vero Beach and Melbourne, FL area revealed just the opposite. During my weeks visit and a lot of driving I noticed very few Tesla vehicles on the road. I noticed 2 Cybertruck’s on the road during my entire weeklong visit after driving nearly 400 miles.

Melbourne here, might have seen mine driving around haha. Actually, I see a few every day. Interesting you did not see much Teslas, seems like model Y and 3 are every where.

I'd say most of the attention the Cybertruck gets is positive in real life unlike the online threads on Facebook and X, which are highly negative. I have, however, gotten flipped off a number of times mostly by young 20 something men (I use that term "men" lightly with this age group) while just driving my Truck. This is my first Tesla so I don't know what attention may be like in another Tesla. Has anyone experienced hate and middle fingers from the general public while driving their Non-Cybertruck Teslas? Is this a Cybertruck specific phenomenon or general for Tesla?

For us CT owners up here in upstate New York, where there are few CTs driving around, I have to schedule at least an extra half an hour for any local trips around here to answer all of the questions I get about "what the heaven are you driving". So I decided to list them on a card that I give out if I'm in a hurry, here it is:
Cybertruck 30 minute dissertation short form;
My 7th and last truck (previous daily drivers, all 4x4 Toyotas starting with the 1979 SR5, last Tundra, a 2014 had 220,000 miles on it), love this beast, is the future, all electric, lightning quick (0-60 2.6 sec), steer by wire progressive steering (full left to right lock 340°), 4 wheel steering (really tight turns), air suspension (17" high setting clearance), regenerative breaking (rarely use brakes), 48 volt low voltage (really small wiring harnesses), Etherloop communication, heavy duty stainless steel body, almost NO maintenance (Tires, wiper blades & fluid is about it), over the air updates, and most importantly gas pickup $60 to drive 250 miles, Cybertruck $19-$22 electricity (400 wH/mile x 250 miles at $.19-$.22/kWh) to drive 250 miles, full slow charge at home 5 hours, full fast charge at supercharger 45 minutes, and Tesla is 10-15 years ahead of everyone else.
