Oily substance around door button (solved: removed protective film)

It only happens around the door button and pillar that button is on in the rear driver’s side, the other three buttons don’t have it. It gets an oily dirty build up around the edges. After washing it will be back within a few days. Anyone else have this?

Did you peel the protective film off of those?

I was having a similar issue (not as bad as yours) with dirt/dust along the edges (also what looked like small spots).

I finally realized that the SC had left the protective film on, haha!! Once I peeled it off, the problem went away.

ETA: Mine was only around two of them…the two with the film.

Hahahaha, I’m an idiot, can’t believe I didn’t notice that. Ya, they left the protective film on just that one. Been dealing with it for over 3 months ?
