Hey guys!

Finally got my CT and I Love it!! I drove through something today that left little brown water spots on the truck that seemed oily. When I tried to clean them with my regular car wash solution it just smeared and left a big mess all over my truck. Now I can’t get the smear stains off.

Any suggestions on how to clean this? (I know it’s hard to see in the pics)

I use Sprayway window cleaner and a microfiber. No spots anywhere on my CT.

Me too. If it still looks streaky after one pass, grab a clean microfiber and hit that spot again. Spray Away (Amonia Free) costs about $2 a can and 1 can can do the whole truck and windows.

For more serious bath, I co the waterless wash/correction compound/Spray Away route. But I’ve only done that 2 times and just gone the whole Spray Away route like half a dozen times now in 7k miles.

Windex and kitchen towel has worked well for me.

I usually use windex after a wash with garden hose + car wash former + hand scrub and wash.

Sprayaway works perfectly, somewhere I read a caution against ammonia based cleaners like Windex

The fastest and easiest way to clean is via daily touch-ups like others have said using "Sprayway" (foaming glass cleaner) I also like Sparkle brand. Using car wash soap those weird oil stains don't come off and you still need to dry the truck quickly to avoid spots and for the final spot free clean you'll still probably want to use a foaming glass cleaner (no ammonia type). So now I skip the bucket and soap method and get the whole truck clean in 5 minutes. Unlike any car I've owned. I did however set up a foam cannon with a power washer which works almost as good as glass cleaner (avoid the charger bay door with power washer). There aren't many cars that can handle a power washers high pressure. But the CT can. Again I haven't found anything easier and faster than a can of foaming glass cleaner and a couple of microfiber towels. Eventually you may want to remove the bronzish colored oxidation that forms. For this CitriSurf77 brings back the bright silver sheen.
