I just got a mobile repair scheduled for the sail issue, now recall. Nice to know they can come to my home and fix it… but as for the wiper fix I’m hoping this can also be a mobile fix, or at least a software “patch” to reduce the current to the blade until fixed. If I have to drive more about 100 miles every time to get it fixed, I’ll start to get frustrated. I understand your m an early adopter and there will be issues, but the company should buffer this better. This would be my 4th, albeit minor, repair. It will be close to 1000 extra miles I’d added to my truck for fixes, glitches and recalls. They should give us either a period or lifetime supercharging for these issues as foundation owners. Either that or the moment service is requested and scheduled you should have free supercharging until it is fixed and 24-48hrs after.

Tesla was good enough to schedule a mobile visit for my accelerator pedal rivet recall. They showed up at my work, on time and did not have the tool to do the recall. The service visit invoice stated I was 'educated' as the actual service. This is not simply sarcasm.

Perhaps they will at least educate you on the wiper motor. This is sarcasm.

I doubt it will be mobile service. They wouldn't schedule my side mirror vibration fix for mobile

I have mobile visits for my model y few times. I will say its more to convince you "please dont bother us types" ... they come to convince you somehow that its not a problem or they will schedule a shop appointment which we all can do ourselves too.

My Model Y has unlock/lock range problem. I stand next to the car with cell phone in my hand and cars says "I dont know you" let me report this as sentry event. Then I have to go an press unlock in the app to convince my car that its me. Mobile Visit guy says oh this is cell phone issue. I have iphone 15 PRO ... :geek:

I am assuming those people are good to inflate tires, connect disconnect battery etc types .. nothing more than that.

If you didn't schedule to get the fixes done so quickly, you could have gotten them all done at once. I don't think that the recall notice on the accelerator fix has even gone out yet, and the wiper motor is still a month or more away.

These are NOT fixes that require immediate action.

For example, in both the wiper motor and trim piece recall, the odds are that you will never see the problem. But there is a small possibility that you would. This is the same for the accelerator. Odds are that 90% of the vehicles would have never seen the issue.

Hmm... I think some issues need to be addressed quickly. My sail flew off, and I'm not sure if the other one will too. Plus, it's pretty embarrassing to drive it looking like that. My AC stopped working, and it was over 90°F where I live. I suspect I'll be called in for the wiper fix sooner or later, and I hope it doesn't go bad on its own. If it does, I can't wait, because the car won't be safe to drive if it rains.

I don't think waiting for issues to pile up is a valid solution. You never know when the next problem will occur, and you can't plan on having another issue weeks down the road.

For the trim I have the problem. they said they can fix it via mobile which I am relieved I hope they actually can, I hear it is like a 30min fix. I asked them to just replace both or make sure the other one is secure. I hope I don't get the wiper issue. my other issues we not recalls but issues that had to get addressed.
