I just read on a Facebook post that Tactical Grey is no longer an option for the Foundation Series configuration. I'm not sure if this applies only to the AWD configuration versus the CyberBeast. There has already been discussion that the all-season wheels and tires have been removed from the FS options. I'm guessing that Tesla has already cut off production of the AWD Foundation Series and selling only from inventory. If that is the case, I wonder if those options will remain for the CyberBeast version since its production is still ramping up and should continue over the next several months. Any thoughts?

Last night I downgraded my cyberbeast order to AWD. I noticed that the AS tires were not available anymore. I still had the gray option though and chose that. If they are not producing gray, I wonder where that would leave me.

It sounds like Tesla is slowly shifting their production line to non-FS orders. I suspect, similar to candy production lines where companies offer "mystery" flavors when they're in-between switching flavors, Tesla created some non-FS defaults and made them available as options for FS orders to accomodate the production shift. This makes sense as it seems that no VINs have yet been provided for tractical gray trim FS orders. But this is all speculation.

All season tires is no longer an option if I go to edit my order, but the Tactical Grey and White is still an interior option for now.

[EDIT] it originally didn't upload my screenshot...
I think that Facebook post is a fallacy. I literally just changed my CB order from white to grey last night. although, I cannot swap from AT to AS as it is no longer an option.

I logged back in and I can swap back to white if I wanted:

Good to know, but I was kind of hoping that Grey interior Foundation Series Cybertrucks were going to be pretty rare, but I guess compared with the white interior versions they still will be.

If that were the case they would remove white not grey.

In my case I got a FS invite. I accepted and paid the $1000 down. AWD, selected tactical grey interior and A/T tires. I then hesitated and put it on hold... I'm on hold for a few more months... Honestly, I'm really hoping for the non FS. Because bugs will get squashed, price is more reasonable...etc.

Will they hold a FS with grey interior for me? Is that a legal contract that Tesla and I entered? It feels like I'm playing chicken with Tesla.

For the group, would they honor the request of grey interior FS or A/S tires even though they changed over to standard non FS production?

I imagine that people are going to be disappointed no matter what happens... ie.. people that want FS with grey interior and, or A/S tires. I imagine eventually Tesla will have to tell people "too bad" because they are proceeding with non FS AWD. Unless they keep a mixed line with FS being produced with non FS (after all it's just badging, right?) Would they eventually get tired of holding a FS AWD and sell it for the standard price just no extras? Or, will they keep those under the table until they're all sold, even if they are early VINs?

How many FS are to be produced again? With that recall the other day it was over 11,000 affected. How many remain for FS production then?

Sorry for the ramblings... Coffee and exhaustion
dude. nobody knows shit.

My 3/21 FS AWD grey order is still waiting for a VIN. I assumed that since it said July - Sept delivery when I changed to grey that the grey interiors were not being built until July, thus no VIN until at least mid-July. I think there's definite confusion by Elon's remarks at the shareholder meeting about FS production ending is definitely confusing things.

My guess is Tesla will stop taking new FS orders and start taking non-FS orders in Q3. Existing FS orders that were in the backlog/in-transit could "downgrade" to non-FS by cancelling your existing FS order. Thus to save the FS-premium, you would be creating a new order, lose your place in line and you'd forfeit your $1,100 deposit.

This seems fairly unlikely. Its more likely that tesla will just stop FS at what ever pre-prescribed point they have decided. They will convert existing orders to fully optioned non foundation and move on. Tesla changes options, and packages all the time with no warning. When they make a change, they do not typically fill old orders with old options. They fill with current inventory of available options and features.
We are all guessing, and anyone could be right. But what I outlined is more similar to what Tesla has done in the past. Previously they did not do 20,XXX unit runs of "limited edition" models. So that definitely skews things.

If someone wants to swap for the A/T tires, I'm listening! I rarely go off road far enough to need them and would sacrifice the cool look for the noise reduction and a bit more range.

The again, if they are like my other Tesla OEM tires, they will be replaced in a year anyway.

I had rather get AT on truck. Buy 2 AS with voucher. Use AT on beach. AS on trips.

That’s exactly what Tesla told me to do, cancel, lose $1,000 and reorder if I wanted non-FS. I pushed back and they said they would escalate to “head office” that was mid-April and I haven’t heard another thing, my order is still FS Cyberbeast.

I was just offered a Beast with white interior, was given a VIN, with a delivery estimate as soon as next month. I turned it down. I’m thinking that many are willing to wait. My updated delivery is estimated to be Oct - Dec. Hell, I’ve been waiting this long, I might as well get the FS I want. That said, I’m still toying with the idea of putting my order on hold and wait for the non-FS. Then I think, how many FS will be produced with the Tactical Grey? It could make it more collectible. Thoughts?
