I bet you will have no problem selling a set of like-new, take-off A/T tires here on the forum to another, and local to you, user.
Well, I'm getting ready to do just that.

I have a set of Michelin Defender LTX Platinum tires that Michelin offered me in exchange for an evaluation and review. I'm still building data regarding range and sound level but both my wife and I feel that they are smoother and quieter. More to come probably in a different thread.

Questions I have for tire enthusiasts...
  • Tesla recommends 50psi for the stock A/T tires.
  • The stock A/T tires are rated for max 65psi.
  • The Michelins are rated for max 80psi.
  • Discount tire recommended 55psi when they mounted the Michelins.
  • I have typically over inflated on previous Teslas by 5psi for range.
Can anybody provide insights regarding suggested psi for the Michelins different than Discount tire recommended?

Should I wait until the new tires have closer to the same 'break in' mileage on them before final range/sound comparison?

What would be a reasonable asking price for the OEM tires I have with about 1,200 miles?

I suspect there won't be much demand for all 4 until somebody has put on enough miles to need a new set but they might be of value to folks that have experienced an unrepairable flat.

Do the LTX Platinums come with the sound deadening foam inside them?

I’ve asked multiple reps at the dealership questions about the Cybertruck and they are so clueless it’s actually kind of hilarious. Anyone else see that? They can’t answer any questions about anything aftermarket whatsoever. But I’m curious if any tire people out there know if it’s possible to use any tire on the cybertruck? I have Toyo Open Country M/T’s on my Jeep right now, and I think it’s my favorite aggressive tire. I want to put some on my new Cybertruck whenever it comes (not worried about range, I drive minimal distance for work) Is this tire possible in a 35 on the cybertruck? I saw a YouTube video where they did Nitto Grapplers and he mentioned tire choices are limited. No clue why. What about a mini lift or spacers? I want to treat my CT like a truck, but can’t find any info on what you can do to this thing. Any guidance would be appreciated!

You won’t get anything larger than a 35. Unless possibly get an offset wheel and reduce backspacing. Suspension components are the limiting factor.

No, they don't.
My observation is that they are about the same sound level but maybe not as harsh of a sound. They do feel smoother to both my wife and I. No significant difference in range observed.

UPDATE

I'm in Florida with the Michelin Defender LTX Platinums with about 6.3k miles including a round trip between FL and VT over the summer. They replaced my OEM Goodyears at about 1.8k.

I don't have official sound meter data to compare but both my wife and I feel that the Defenders are both quieter and smoother than the OEMs.

Based on my observations when new, the height of the tires were the same and the profiles very similar.

When new, the Defenders had about 14/32 tread. They currently average about 12.5/32. Frankly I don't know if that's great or bad.

Oddly, the efficiency seems to be an inconsistent factor of speed. The following charts via TeslaFi represent %efficiency and Wh/mile efficiency.
