This is how I deal with rodents; set an example and the rest fall in line?

California raccoons will never do that ?
The fig newton they ate in the back of my Mazda 3 says otherwise. I never have any trouble with them, since I never leave them snacks.

Not alot of lemurs in North America... also Raccoons aren't rodents.

Nor are they going to wait for you to shoot open your truck for them.

Unfortunately, this is more spin for Jalopnik, Electrek, and all the other struggling media outlets out there to bash the CT. I can't wait to read the page-long article they are writing from this single post.

Was any food in the vault that the raccoons likely smelled? There will always be low incidence break-in attempts by animals in wild wood areas I guess. Animal repellent sprayed on parts of the Cybertruck when camping might not be a bad idea. The raccoons were actually smart to perceive that was a possible point of entry.

Just about any organized campground in MN will have a high incidence of animals. Many looking for anything they can eat, or chew through to get to the stuff to eat. Not sure what was in there.

Racoons are pretty smart. They are little bandits, and look like it. Watch the movie The Great Outdoors. They will go in gangs and ravage a picnic table while the drunks are around the fire. Then laugh when finished eating.

A clean campsite for me includes not eating in it. I usually eat in a different area. Store food someplace else. I tend to avoid organized camping as the place is loaded with people. Many who don't care or think it's cute as they eat off your table.

For the person who mentioned the bear getting into the trunk. It would be like opening a bag of chips. Very easy.

Looks like this campground is known for the little rascals. So I would say they are equal opportunity racoons, and don't really care what kind of truck it is Jalopink.

What was in there that they wanted that bad? Raccoons are not to waste energy without justifications
