Well I Made A HUGE Mistake... Am I Doomed? (Voucher Related) [Solved]

I had an issue. I had all items in cart. Including the spare tire which is $1500. Total made each item like $3.22 as I went over the $2500 a bit. Voucher code in. Press button. Got the System Error red x, and a confirmation minus the $1500 spare. I canceled immediately all the items prior to shipping.

Yet voucher code now didn't work. I called CS. They opened a ticket. (also they could not believe the single use code). I got an email two days later along with hey we are researching it. 15 minutes later I received new code, and an email saying be careful this time.

I said thanks. Please tell Elon in your annual review to bring the NVIDIA GPU's back to Tesla from X. The shop needs everything it can get.

Universal Charger comes with FS, so I am curious why this was a rush need to buy impulsively?

You mean it comes with the mobile connector. I am sure the OP was looking to have a charger installed soon that can charge faster than 3 miles of range per hour.

It may be possible to cancel the order and get the voucher replaced, assuming it hasn't shipped yet. I'd certainly reach out to Tesla immediately, I usually get a response within a few days via the website.

Not really. In many municipalities and states it is more expensive to put a NEMA 14-50 outlet than a Wall Charger due to NFPA 70. Many of us like to sleep while we charge rather than park in a random spot and sit in car or do shopping that we may not want to do.

I didn't want to have to open my garage every day for the UC. Already at the equipment ready for install and guy lined up. I was ready to have everything set up

Not really. In many municipalities and states it is more expensive to put a NEMA 14-50 outlet than a Wall Charger due to NFPA 70. Many of us like to sleep while we charge rather than park in a random spot and sit in car or do shopping that we may not want to do.

Not discounting that at all. I charge at midnight every night and love that. My point is was it worth losing 2k vs the ‘convenience’ lost from going to a super charger for a little bit longer.

If I understood the system I would have done that... In my head the 2K was never at risk.

I would of either filled up the cart or used the UC to get by

I think it is an accounting rationale. The transaction is closed when it comes to the truck purchase. Then a new liability was created post. They want to close that liability out, and not leaving it hanging.

Bought my charger on eBay for half the price of Tesla shop and ordered tent. That sucks, but damn it does say it twice plainly. Once in the part you should have read and another in the “fine print”. Ignorance gets you out of nothing and into a lot in my experience LMAO! Good Luck!

They need to have more prompts, bolding, red leters, warnings, etc IMO.

I mean look, I'm an engineer / Type A person. I'd venture to say I'm "on my game" more than most. This tripped me up. I was in a hurry and messed up. I was even active on this form for a few weeks before delivery and missed it.

Just trying to say that there is a flaw there

Wrong and right….but, No it comes with FS, as part of the voucher…..its not in the truck and they don’t send you one.
