I use keep. I think it keeps it all locked. Small town. Truck makes plenty of noise when it is 90 out. Plus my dog likes it on low. She like cabin at 59 degrees or less. 66 is like sweltering for my princess post workout.

Also, do the back seat door unlock buttons work during dog mode?
Not while they're turned off using child lock. My dog stays in the back using the headrest-mounted barrier thing I posted, so it's worked very well for me.
Also keep in mind that this isn't a Cybertruck only thing. This thread is true of my model 3 since 2019.

I agree, DOG MODE should isolate and disable ALL electric window and door opening switches/buttons, both front and rear! BTW, there is STILL the manual emergency door handle if needed by humans. Hell, most kids insist on using this handle all the time, anyhow.

I can tell you If our dog escaped the truck and was injured while securely sitting in a CT in DOG MODE.... my wife would make sure the CT was gone, I was gone, and I would seriously fear for Elon.
good.

crazy..it’s almost as if Dog Mode is doing exactly as intended (climate control) and people want it do thing it’s not intended for.

The Tesla official dog liner cover completely the door so you shouldn’t have a problem. I found it really good and the material is top notch. Only con is the price $$$

Well stated. My wife would do the same. No more CT for me. Most days I think she loves the dogs more than me. Lol

I have the liner. They jump over the middle section and get to the front seat. I got some nimble doggos.

Most of the mess I have been getting is fur blowing onto my 30' long dashboard. But the back has actually stayed remarkably clean, compared to the Y.

Thanks for this post, I wasn't even aware of this issue.

Does anyone know if child locks can prevent this from happening?

Well I agree that Dog Mode should disable all the doors and windows (and anything else that opens, like the frunk), but I am surprised by the tone of indignant outrage. Compare what you have to any other vehicle and in the meantime figure out a way to make it work for you.

Tesla should also make sure FSD is disabled in Dog Mode, too ?

Seems like the door protectors would do the job of covering up the door buttons. If the problem is with your dogs moving into the front seats, why not just buy another pet liner to get the Tesla designed door protectors? The fact that your dogs go into the front "row" would make me want to get it anyway, since that's the whole point of the pet liner is to protect the interior. If your dogs are wild enough inside such that there's a chance while you're away that they'll press with enough force through the door protectors to open the doors, then perhaps you shouldn't be leaving your dogs unattended in the vehicle for that long.

I'm sure there's generic door protectors online if you don't want to purchase another Tesla pet liner set.

I’m a dog lover just as most are. Sorry to hear about your pup getting out. My dog has similar abilities as yours in terms of opening doors etc. Rather than force a solution that isn’t in compliance with typical safety measures I did what one should do. Buy a dog seatbelt fastener. He is seatbelted to middle rear seat and cannot access the doors.

Mine do, for the most part. The problem i am having is with the window movement upon opening and closing the door. The little clips just pop right up, the suction cups aren't the best. I can't get them to stay secure.

I haven't had a door incident yet ?

Sorry about the incident. But the thought of my dumb dog opening the door and getting out makes me laugh. I can only imagine how proud he would be of himself.

Great opportunity to tweet (X) this to Elon, I would imagine a easy fix via software push.
What kind of dogs and how big, out of curiosity.

Well it happened. Left my two dogs in the truck in Dog Mode and while I was having breakfast in the restaurant I got an alert on phone that truck door opened. One of the dogs stepped on the door button and dogs were able to push door open and yep, went running. Did get help recovering the dogs but what a joke.

I would suggest using safety harnesses for your dogs. The biggest reason is safety. You hit the brakes and your loose dogs will go flying. The harness would keep the dogs in the bag seat too.
