I recently purchased an f40 refrigerator/freezer 36qt. But after purchasing I found out that while ct is charging it disables the 120v plugs? Kind of lame!

Yeah I have a similar narrow one that fits in the lower center console in the cab (to keep sodas cool).

I’m sure there is a very good technical reason why those outlets are disabled that perhaps Wes or others on the Cybertruck texam have addressed on X, but it is a bummer! Definitely rules out storing anything that might spoil.

Those outlets are still available during Level 3 charging (Superchargers), just don't work when you are plugging it up at home Level 2.

There are. The bidirectional charger used for Powershare is not certified for grid connected output. So, unless they can partition the outlets to a separate subsection (psrt of PCS charging, part supplying outlets), the only way to power them is directly through the wall or mobile connector.

That means you would only have as much outlet pacity as charge connector. However, if externally powered by 240V, there is no neutral connection, so 120V loads can't be supported without adding a Gateway 3V auto transformer. If charging from 120V, they would need to switch which lines the outlets connect to.

End result, the PCS needs to split into charging and outlet sections, which it may be able to, but load management is tricky.
