It will be worth a shit ton in long term future, it's like the first iPhone. Regardless, I intend to use mine every day and the aesthetics will never lose it's allure. There is no flexibility for them to change the look of the truck, It will only be software/hardware upgrades from this point on.As a day 1 reservation holder, early adopter and purchaser... while I understand why Tesla continues to sell the Foundation series to maximize profit, I hate it.
I was hoping I would have some level of extra value in my truck being a foundation series. I recently saw a newly assigned VIN that was in the 70,000 range. So there will probably be 100,000 of these foundation series by the time they truly stop making them, if not more.
So unfortunately for us early adopters who waited 4+ years there will be no additional value by having a foundation series, if anything our value sinks faster once non-foundation gets released. As there won't be too many people looking to spend say $80k on a used foundation series with XXXXX miles that will be all over the used marketplace when they can get a brand new cybertruck for the same price. Bummer. Maybe if I hold onto it for 30+ years it will have some value then.
