I picked these up a while ago from Amazon, they match the CT aesthetic nicely and give me a place to put little bits of trash (straw paper, gum wrappers, etc.) to keep the cabin nice. I was keeping one in the front right cupholder, but it’s really a waste of good useable space.
The little front triangle shelf on the door is practically useless, but I noticed the other day that the trash can cup fits perfectly with a few millimeters to spare, but I needed an easy way to mount it there while still making it convenient to remove and empty. Solution: magnets!
I bought a couple of cheap packs of neodymium disc magnets and some thin steel disc plates. Since the clearance is tight, I just put the magnets in the bottom of the cup and used the thin steel disc on the door shelf. Works perfectly, it’s held in place securely and is easy to pop out.
Neat thing about these magnets - the strength is additive, so if one isn’t strong enough, stack another on top. Add as many as you want until it’s as strong as you like. I used a stack of 3 - 1.26”x1/8” magnets per trash cup, it’s exactly right. They’re held in the bottom of the trash cup by 3M double sided tape that comes with the magnets (only need it on the bottom magnet, the others attach magnetically, obv)
Be careful with neodymium magnets, they attach to each other with great force and can smash a finger if you’re not careful, though these ones are small enough to not do much more than a pinch.
Since the trash cups come in a two-pack, I added them to the driver and passenger doors.

Neodymium magnets (black, doesn't matter as they are inside the cup) [$9.99 for 6]: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08BR7DHTY
Steel mounting discs [$7.95 for 16]: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09B6WYT7B
Trash cups (available in other colors, too) [$11.99 for two]: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C3LTQ56L?th=1
Demonstration of how well they work:
