Hate to book another service appointment but ..... hairline cracks everywhere on the door panel lighting strip. Both sides have this. SMH.

There was a heat wave in NorCal recently but the temp barely touched 95.... as an engineer who worked on reliability testing I know that's nothing for automotive parts. What's going on here Tesla??

I live in Norcal too and don't have that. But also, I have overheat protection set to 90. I'd warranty claim it and have them fix.

I had that happen in my Model 3 and they were just replaced. Waited almost a month as they were on backorder. Was told it's very common in the Highland that's why it took so long to get the part.

Automotive parts are tested for temperatures way beyond 100 degrees. My friend got the new Model 3 with similar cabin light strips with no issues. Temperatures in Florida are reaching 135 degrees when parked without cabin temp control right now. Its a defective part probably from the supplier, another recall maybe?

@mcorf - did Service say what this is from? I've had my CT for 2 weeks and it developed shortly after I cleaned the interior so thought it was from the liquid but maybe from interior heat now?

my front passenger door looks like this. I broke out the magnifying glass and it does not appear to be left over protective plastic. I poked at it with a plastic scraper and I didn't feel it grab or make the appearance change. I"ll add this to my appointment next month and see what comes of it.

I have this same exact thing on my 4 doors. Tesla refused to fix/replace it claiming it was due to my tinting! I had 1 window not tinted due to a scratch but this door panel has the cracking in the LED strip as well which proves it’s not due to the tinting. I’m heading to a different service center to hopefully get this replaced.

I live in AZ btw, but have cabin overheat set to 100

That sucks! I live in AZ too and have a service appointment scheduled for Sept. What location told you to take a hike and why did you let them say no especially since you had one not tinted?

I just got mine windows tinted so hope they don’t claim the same BS excuse b/c mine appeared before my window tints.

Same issue on mine.... I'll add it to the massive list for the next service visit.
