When I exit the vehicle and the doors lock, why does the climate control and vent seats stay on? I have cabin overheat turned off. If I manually turn off the climate control the seats stay on. I have to tap them both. Is there a way to turn off the truck when I get out?
And how do you resume cruise control? Return to the last speed after pressing the brake pedal?

    • The AC and battery conditioning systems keep running for a time after exiting the vehicle. Wait and see if they are still running after you have left and the vehicle is locked. They should stop.
  • And how do you resume cruise control? Return to the last speed after pressing the brake pedal?
    • You cannot, the break will cancel CC. If you let the vehicle come to a stop on its own, it will start again after the car in front of you starts moving.

It has gone hours with the seats still running. I noticed the battery drop one evening. When I opened the app it was 69 and seats were on high. This is long after being locked. Thank you for the cruise info.

Oh wow that is unusual. The only causes I can think of might be:
  • Your phone is too close and it never goes to sleep
  • The keycard is in the active placement (wireless charger)
  • You software is out of date, try updating it.
Like any piece of tech I recommend you... turn it off and back on again. Touch Controls > Safety > Power Off. Try leaving it off for a few minutes.

I've had the climate shut off after a few minutes while I was sitting in it

Or the seat sensor is broken. This has been reported in other Teslas.

The seat sensor may be the culprit? I do leave my computer bag on the passenger side occasionally.

Possibly. We had a MY in 2021 that didn't turn off. Tesla replaced the seat sensor and it was fixed.

This is a thing, I know exactly what you’re talking about. Took the truck to the SC for it a while back, they were able to replicate and said they have informed their engineers. In the meantime if you set them to auto, they will turn off when you leave the truck. Def annoying but hopefully just a band aid for now.

Ditto on setting the vent seats to "auto" if you want them to go off after you exit.

If my vent seats are set to "manual", they stay on after exiting.
