About a week ago @HaulingAss responded to one of my posts saying I’d have my VIN within two weeks. I recognize he tends to be annoyingly right about stuff but WTF, man? To help increase the chances I even headed out of town for ten days.

Even though it’s Sunday I did check twice this morning and then ran some errands. I just checked again and holy effing, that annoying @HaulingAss was right — I GOT A VIN!

I few days before I got my VIN I sent this chat on a service call for my MX, which I ultimately declined to do.

they didn’t say they took any action but nonetheless I a vin came.

messaging through the app was no help.

"Never gonna get it" by En Vogue keeps going through my head every time I check the app.

I just picked mine up today. Got the text Sunday saying it was on lot do you want to pickup Monday. So I made it happen. It is sweet. Happy for you too...a whole month less mashing the app for you then me, think of all the wear and tear you saved on your phone?. But they definitely got a truck in CO, three deliveries at same time as me today.

I texted the same thread that I got my recent test drive notification from a question about being asked to make the final payment w/o a delivery date and they responded.

“Good morning, Forger. It will be a few weeks still before the vehicle arrives at the local delivery center. You will be contacted once it’s time to schedule pickup.”

“The system sends automatic messages in regards to your order to complete the missing milestones, however you do not need to transfer the funds of the vehicle until it is a closer timeline of taking delivery. As for your insurance, you can set the activation date for your insurance to be the same date of your delivery, once you are given that timeline.”

After getting vin and proving insurance and paying for the car, how long till people typically get their car?

It's been 1.5 weeks since I got my vin. Fully paid for the beast + insurance. I'm on the last step of just waiting to schedule delivery.

Still waiting for the truck, the anticipation has only gotten worse since getting a VIN.

Is it me or has the VIN allocation algorithm slowed for Cyberbeast orders?
Not seeing as many posts “I GOT my VIN!“
I realize there are probably 100’s of thousands of orders out there that aren’t even part of this community thread, however based on membership #’s here and the chart for order tracking, it appears something has slowed when comparing VIN posts.
The only ”fast” delivery schedules seem to come merely from what appears to be cancelation orders and someone else got bumped in line for a quick delivery. Are trains getting delayed to SC locations?

It did seem like there was a significant uptick in Beast VIN allocations in July.

It feels like to me Tesla delivers beasts at the beginning of the quarter then AWD for the rest so they can get the numbers up.
If they build 6 motors they can get 3 AWD or 2 Beasts and they REALLY want the truck profitable this year.
