That is the original sales agreement. New ones don't have it.Am I missing something? It still says you can't resell without consent from Tesla or Tesla would seek injunctive relief. Isn't this what the original clause said?
Ahhh... I see. Thanks for the clarification. That is the original sales agreement. New ones don't have it.
I think the clause served its purpose well. It allowed me to take delivery in early April. Now there will be a legitimate used market. Life is good. So many people who railed so loudly about how their rights had been trampled didn't buy a Cybertruck to flip and now they just look even more ridiculous than ever.
Think they'll update the old ones? Also, do you think they'll take trade-ins now? Was planning on upgrading to a Cyberbeast, but they currently don't have a mechanism to...The clause was removed a few months ago. I took delivery in June and it didn't have the fines or waiting time, but I've seen some folks take delivery as early as March 2024 without it.
Glad it's removed!

Doesn't appear that they will.My hope is that Tesla will go after the early flippers to recover that. If I had known they were going to be that lax about the clause it would've tempted me to flip my order (I had early reservation of around ~4000).
It was the RISK that Tesla could take action that made the clause mostly effective at achieving their goals. And I'm glad it looks like it was quite effective in your case!My hope is that Tesla will go after the early flippers to recover that. If I had known they were going to be that lax about the clause it would've tempted me to flip my order (I had early reservation of around ~4000).
