That is the original sales agreement. New ones don't have it.

I think the clause served its purpose well. It allowed me to take delivery in early April. Now there will be a legitimate used market. Life is good. So many people who railed so loudly about how their rights had been trampled didn't buy a Cybertruck to flip and now they just look even more ridiculous than ever.

There is no way any flipping is profitable now. You can order a brand new FS without a wait today. Any flipper is selling a used vehicle with miles on it and they already paid sales taxes.

The clause was removed a few months ago. I took delivery in June and it didn't have the fines or waiting time, but I've seen some folks take delivery as early as March 2024 without it.

Think they'll update the old ones? Also, do you think they'll take trade-ins now? Was planning on upgrading to a Cyberbeast, but they currently don't have a mechanism to...

My CT contract (at time of $1,000 deposit) is dated 1/25/24 and contains this "No Resale" language, while delivery was May 1, 2024

Worth paying attention to if you're planning to buy used perhaps.

It was the RISK that Tesla could take action that made the clause mostly effective at achieving their goals. And I'm glad it looks like it was quite effective in your case!

The verbiage was to always keep the honest man, honest. They were never going to invest financial resources into paying expensive attorneys to litigate something like this against so many potential defendents.
