You can see it that way, sure.

I have driven mine 20k miles and the experience is unlike anything else on the road. I don’t even drive my M3P anymore…

Would def buy it all over again. ??‍♂

But if the prototype-to-production reality upsets you, go find something you like. ?
There is still nothing better than Tesla. Still looking. Cheers.

You right, however this truck should be cheaper due to casting, no paint, etc. The price tag comment is based on comparisson with model X that is/was considered to be a flagship when it comes to features and luxury, yet costs the same as CT without all of the innovations in production as a Cybertruck.

I was in the automotive industry for 6 years. Five of which were with BMW, Lamborghini and Rolls Royce. No OEM ever delivers exactly what is featured in a prototype. I would say that Tesla delivered much closer to prototype than any other manufacturer I have come across. I have had my truck now for 2 months and no other manufacturer can bring to market what Tesla has done. At $100k I find that the Cybertruck is a discount when I see what other OEMs gave to offer.

Does anybody else feel like a new design of the Cybertruck is a “slow boil” of a frog? The initial vision is a large truck with a stainless steel body bent in right places and a unicast that transfers the load from the frame to the body of the truck. It looks massive, impressive, and cyber… Glass is able to withstand rocks, sides the bullets and it seats 6. Moreover, it is going to be so cheap to produce and the range will kick such an ass(500 miles), that it will be a game changer and disruptive for existing truck market. New Cybertruck is the aluminum cast with the raw unambiguous stainless steel plate panels that are thin, unbend, cut the skin, fastened to aluminum cast, smaller truck in size, standard glass that cracks left and right based on feedback, price tag out of this world and nothing but problems. I am a die hard fan for Tesla but I am feeling like something is just wrong between what I have being waiting for 5 years and what is offered. Does anybody else realizing what is happening? Or we are just ready to jump on any grenade as long as it say “Cybertruck” in Tesla’s font on it?
I love the design and don't see a difference or don't remember a difference from the original design except that it is smaller. It was made smaller to fit in a garage. I got mine on June 3rd and have not had any problems with it. It would be nice if the range was what they said it would be or even over 400 MI. Ryan Shaw did a video showing what the price would be as increased for inflation which I believe was around $65,000. He estimated the price would likely be $75,000 because Elon Musk said the price would have to go up because he added more features into the truck. I personally would pay more for the extra features which I love. In fact, not only would I pay more, I paid even more by getting the Founders Edition. Fortunately I can afford it so I don't have a problem with the price. Additionally, the truck came with the powershare gateway which saved me $15,000 for a generator. I wanted a generator for several years and was holding out because I was waiting for a generation 3 powerwall to be developed, and I thought I would get four of those. Now with the Cybertruck I have 10 of them.

Cybertruck may have not come with 500 miles of range, or the pull out ramp from the tailgate, or the bullet proof glass. …
I’m a little sorry about the tailgate ramp. That was hella cool. I’m not surprised it got cut from production, however. And to be perfectly honest, it’s a feature I would show all my friends, but only actually use in ”real need” twice in my life. That’s exactly why they cut it. I need that just about as much as I need another 200 miles range.

I was ready to buy the promised truck the split second that I could. I had told everyone that this was my plan. We really do need a truck, and having only a sedan was limiting. But I didn't want old-tech junk like the Lightning, so it was really only the CT for me. But then reality hit, the promises proved to be bullshit (like everything out of Musky's mouth lately), and I started actually shopping. We ended up with a Rivian, and while it's full of compromises too, it actually has what was promised and expected. Watching the frog boil is amusing now, and also sad because I've been a Tesla supporter and investor for some time. The CT is a ridiculous mess.
Sooo… you’re a Rivian owner just hanging out in the CT forum to troll people who like the CT?

Yeah, the range issue is more of an economy and supply chain issue than an engineering problem. I estimate theTruck would have been about $20,000 more if it came with a 500 mile battery pack.

Driving it really put the underscore and exclamation point on the shitty build quality. If the demo is that bad...damn!! So yes, go drive it. You will both laugh and cry.

I did learn however that if I need to be single I can just bring one of these home and she's out.
You drive a bad one I got to hit a come track it rides and handle good.

How far have you driven a Cybertruck? Have you hauled anything heavy in it? Gone off road?

The Cybertruck comes with a tougher borosilicate windshield, but it's not bulletproof and Tesla never said they planned the glass to be bullet-proof. It does resist crack propagation better than typical automotive glass.

The Dual Motor Cybertruck was always going to be the best-seller, and it actually exceeds the range planned in 2019 by 40 miles. But no one ever talks about that.

Long enough to fall in love with how it drives, although far too short also. Their demos are heavily controlled. They don’t let you do anything with it, even highway, at all.
