True but I guess I should have focused on Tesla's GP (Gross Profit)....sure it may become cheaper for them to manufacture but will that translate to cheaper cost to you and I? Perhaps but if they can maintain and or even better increase margins, they will!
That depends upon demand. Tesla has been - until this year - willing to tweak the price down so people would know they've brought costs down.

They're running high profit per vehicle this year.

Trust me, I would love it and Tesla isn't exactly a traditional auto manufacturer (see Plaid Price Then vs Now as an example)!

I am not part of the crowd that thinks "Ermahgerd! If I buy it now, it might be $xx,xxx less in X time! What should I do?" haha!

The announcement and reveal of the Cybertruck also seemed to indicate that the exterior was going to be a true exoskeleton. Sadly, the production version is truly just a stainless shell over a traditional body. In fact, it's only glued or taped on (depending on the panels or strips).
I've seen this narrative pushed by multiple people (that the skin doesn't function structurally, and it's only glued on with structural adhesive). It's false.

Even Sandy Munro, in a recent Cybertruck tear-down video, admitted he was not correct when he originally made that call (said it wasn't an exoskeleton). The two large stainless steel quarter panels are structurally bonded (welded and glued) to the inner stamped steel panel creating an extremely strong and rigid structural member that is then bolted with large bolts in multiple places to the various structural castings, from the lower rear gigacasting to the multiple smaller castings on top of the rear gigacasting. This ties them all together and creates the structural strength and rigidity around the load bed and rear drive motor(s). It's a primary reason why the Cybertruck has more chassis stiffness than many Supercars known for their extreme chassis stiffness.

Source for your claim?

The only quote from Sandy Munro I've been able to find online reads, “Unfortunately, that’s what it looks like underneath the skin, this would not be classified as an exoskeleton.” (emphasis added)

I still remember the Chevy volt prototype. That was a day and night change.. my cyber truck is not 100% what I expected. But I enjoy it.. I would like it have been a little larger of a truck bed that didn't leak and had access to the cab. Other than that, I'm very happy with it.

The source is the Munro Online video where Sandy and his engineer side-kick (sorry, I forgot his name) focus on the construction and structural purposes of the two rear quarter-panels. Sandy admits early in the video that he went too far when he said it wasn't an exoskeleton at all, and goes on to detail how it ties the entire rear end together and adds the required strength and stiffness.

I was ready to buy the promised truck the split second that I could. I had told everyone that this was my plan. We really do need a truck, and having only a sedan was limiting. But I didn't want old-tech junk like the Lightning, so it was really only the CT for me. But then reality hit, the promises proved to be bullshit (like everything out of Musky's mouth lately), and I started actually shopping. We ended up with a Rivian, and while it's full of compromises too, it actually has what was promised and expected. Watching the frog boil is amusing now, and also sad because I've been a Tesla supporter and investor for some time. The CT is a ridiculous mess.

“Nothing but problems”.. let me guess your source - legacy media or people posting issues in the forum? Vast majority of Cybertruck owners are really happy. It’s been 8 months since the release. There will be early adopter issues, and it’s important for people to talk about it, but media blows these out of proportion - rust, catching fire, bricked in the middle of nowhere, panel gaps, broken casting.. the list is long. The real question is what percentage of users had these problems, and how that number compares to other manufacturers? How many people broke the casting from towing? Literally one YouTuber after trashing CT to the core? Casting actually didn’t break but that’s how it was shown. How many were bricked? 2 or 3? How many recalls? Do you know how many recalls traditional trucks had in last one year. Nobody knows as nobody makes that a big news. Those articles won’t get much clicks. I’m not saying we should burry our head in sand and pretend everything is awesome. It’s important to see things for real based on data, and data says Cybertruck is kicking ass.

Tesla has hit the best sweet spot in terms of dimensions, design, price, battery capacity, range, specs, and innovative features. A little bigger Cybertruck, most wouldn’t have been able to fit in standard garage. A bit more material, range and price would have been compromised. The design might hardly change in the next 4-5 years! The only thing Tesla has to worry about is ramping up the production without compromising the build quality and price. Cybertruck is a magnificent machine. If you don’t believe, go test drive one! ?
I've got to say, I haven't had issues with my cyber truck and it's been 4 months. Let's see, the windshield wiper had some issue but they adjusted it and so that issues gone. I really can't think of any other issue as it's quiet and it drives great and nothing's broken on it.

Boy, are you going to be disappointed when you look at other manufactures and their prototypes and promises...
Dodge entered the chat. Wasn't there truck coming out this year. With the third roll seat behind the back seats.

Does anybody else feel like a new design of the Cybertruck is a “slow boil” of a frog? The initial vision is a large truck with a stainless steel body bent in right places and a unicast that transfers the load from the frame to the body of the truck. It looks massive, impressive, and cyber… Glass is able to withstand rocks, sides the bullets and it seats 6. Moreover, it is going to be so cheap to produce and the range will kick such an ass(500 miles), that it will be a game changer and disruptive for existing truck market. New Cybertruck is the aluminum cast with the raw unambiguous stainless steel plate panels that are thin, unbend, cut the skin, fastened to aluminum cast, smaller truck in size, standard glass that cracks left and right based on feedback, price tag out of this world and nothing but problems. I am a die hard fan for Tesla but I am feeling like something is just wrong between what I have being waiting for 5 years and what is offered. Does anybody else realizing what is happening? Or we are just ready to jump on any grenade as long as it say “Cybertruck” in Tesla’s font on it?
Have you driven one. Schedule a test drive . You will under stand and stay off reddit . The fud is strong out there when very few have driven it .

Driving it really put the underscore and exclamation point on the shitty build quality. If the demo is that bad...damn!! So yes, go drive it. You will both laugh and cry.

I did learn however that if I need to be single I can just bring one of these home and she's out.

What a strange thing to say to try to win an argument or justify your choices.

That would be. I'd never say it for those reasons either.
