Was the video of the crash been uploaded? That would be interesting to see what caused it. I'm sure the EV or CT haters are going to be all over this blaming in on the vehicle rather than the driver.

I doubt that a guilty party would be eager to share incriminating evidence.

After seeing those pictures of broken fire hydrants with the jagged castings sticking up, I'd speculate the CT ran into the fire hydrant, broke it and continued forward with the jagged casting poking up into the battery pack. (That has been stated previously before all the hoopla about dont using water on an electrical fire)
So now, We really need auto pilot on the CTs!!! considering the blind spots on the front corners of the CTs (Sandy Monroe complained about it) My Personal experience is that my model Y with AP or FSD ensures that I go around a sharp curve much closer than I would because I can't see the curb on a curve. Incidentally I'm holding off on purchasing the CT until AP and FSD is working. That.... is why I'm holding off more than the price.

It's really amazing that even did it; if you've seen Munro's teardown of the Cybertruck. It has a couple inches inside the pack of space as well as the layers of armor between any debris and the pack.

That means the gash would have had to be really deep, and almost a foot long.
