ordered a set today, install scheduled already. Will the redesigned new wheel covers I’m supposed to receive fit these winter tires? Thanks in advance.

Except those of us that have free supercharging. I got 3 years of free supercharging with my 2023 X. I did the math and it saved me $700 the first year of just using the free supercharging over charging @ home from my Wall Connector. When my free Supercharging ends I'll be plugging in at home whenever possible.

Am I reading this wrong? These (although gorgeous) tires are just 3 peak rated all-seasons and not actual dedicated winter/snow tires. So 10% better than average? whatever the average is.

I still plan on putting blizzaks on some rims I got from ebay.

https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tire...765R0BLT&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes
Stock tire size 285-65-20 = 34.6 inch diameter
Blizzak LT or Nokian Tyres Hakkapeliitta LT3 size 275-65-20 = 34.1 inch diameter.

I can live with this size compromise for the benefit of softer tire compound for winter driving.
The "3Peak" designation is kinda weak: 10% increase in straight line acceleration over a "reference tire" is the (low) standard.

Yeah, the 3Peak on a summer-possible tire can mean anything on snow/ice from as bad as the stock AT (e.g. from what I hear the Rivian 20" AT) to being as good as a Nokian WRG or Michelin cross climate.

The online reviews I'm seeing seem to suggest this line of tires is a bit worse than the Falken At2w in snow/ice but not too much worse.
This one is tempting as an easy solution to Colorado snow, even though it won't be as good as a specialist Nokian option... I value the $2500 voucher as being worth $2k, so the effective cost is about $2500 for me, and I might just sell the original tires/wheels if I did this given these tires can be used in summer.

I'm even tempted to buy this set and switch the tires out for something Nokian... just keep the wheels and tpms.

Have you ordered your winter wheel/tires yet? I know most Boulder Tesla owners go to Barnsley, and it might be good for all the Boulder/Denver owners to get together to go to the same shop, try for a volume discount, but more importantly end up with a set of techs that are rapidly experienced with the cybertruck. If we book in 10 cybertrucks for the same time we'd get all their techs on it at once and combined expertise.

Might be worth waiting for the EV optimized Toyo Open Country A/T III to come out if one is looking for a 3PMSF tire rather than this off the rack Duratrac.

I didn't know putting tires on rims for Tesla's was any different or required any expertise compared to other rims. Are the rims a different shape?

Thanks for the heads up. Ordered with the voucher. Hopefully they get here before the snow.

For the other Teslas you apparently need some special Tesla spacers to lift the car without rushing damage.

Having multiple techs and owners can also help with things like setting tire diameter in car settings, connecting tpms, figuring out if an issue is specific to one specific car or a general issue.

Yeah. Haven't had that issue. My discount tire does tons of Tesla's. Tesla's aren't special anymore. Most idiots can figure them out. Yes older ones do have pucks, and I carry the pucks in case I am at ABC tire shop in Quebec. Most know what to do these days.

I guess what I am saying is a NASCAR operation is seeming like a dork fest for something that is easy as mounting a tire to a rim. Installing it.

If you bought the wrong rims and tires. Well that's just plain dumb.

These are crazy affordable.

Price comparo is the Model Y winter wheels and tires direct from Tesla:
- 19" Gemini winter wheel and tire set - $2,250
- 20" induction winter wheel and tire set - $3,500
- 21" uberturbine winter wheel and tire set - $4,750

Sure, the 19" Gemini set is cheaper but they look like ASS (not actually smart summon) and don't fit on the Performance models. The Cybertruck set is cheaper than the 20" and 21" options and there are no $2,500 vouchers for buying a Model Y - which by itself is about half the price of a Cybertruck. Good on Tesla for this one, hoping the light bar is similarly nicely priced when it (if it) arrives.

Placed my order to have installed in October. Was quoted $3771 for just 4 wheels and tps sensors with no tires so saving a lot with the entire package.

That seems...cheap to me? Particularly for a Tesla supplied accessory, haha!!

$750 each for a Cyberwheel, Tire, and Tesla TPMS sensor + installation.

Great way to spend the voucher!!
installation?
