Probably not the best decision using the Cybertruck to haul a huge boat! I am very happy with the truck towing my 16ft Vhull. I get about 160 range.

You are right. Real estate is the major bottleneck for pull-through chargers. I personally think that if Tesla can cut a deal with local counties to install Tesla chargers at Rest areas, it’ll significantly accelerate the pull-through charging network. I know not all places have rest areas, so they should continue whatever they are doing, but leveraging existing pull-through network to repurpose rest areas has high ROI for everyone, IMO.
That one is easy, not gonna happen.

If the state (which tends to own most of the rest areas I believe) hasn't already opened the rest area for commercial stores, they won't/can't open them for chargers. You'd have to let all of the charging orgs have access and then the gas stations, etc.

I dare say that the Federal Monies that helped pay for them probably have rules against it as well. Yes, there are commercial plazas in some places, but I think that those are mostly on toll roads, that use different monies. I know that Florida has a number of Supercharger sites at Service Centers along the turnpike.

And then there's the fact that rest areas are often in the middle of nowhere and they generally don't have the power infrastructure to support a Supercharger.

1,207 Wh/mi average over 234 miles. Didn’t use A/C or preconditioning the entire trip. Max 67mph, 90% highway without stops, minimal hills in Michigan.
Did you follow Tesla's recommendation to up the Cybertruck tires to 65 psi cold for towing?

Probably should have kept under 60. I would tell you before I had my cybertruck, we pulled our 27’ Keystone Bullet (7500 lbs) with a sequoia and when I went over 60, we got 5mpg and a range of 120 miles. When I dropped it to 60, we got 8-9 mpg. Same with the cybertruck. We have gotten 125 miles/charge keeping it at 60 mph. When you drive a vehicle over 60, it absolutely effects the distance traveled per charge and diminished efficiency. Also, most trailer tires are not rated for driving over 60 MPH anyway. Just my 2 cents
My experience towing Jeep on a flatbed (about 7k lb) was similar, speed kills wh/mi. However, slipstreaming a big rig greatly mitigates this issue. I get more miles per charge at 70 following a semi than at 55 following nothing. Not riding their ass, just follow distance 3-4ish. So now my routine towing with CT on the interstate is to go slow until a semi passes, then jump behind and draft as long as they're doing 65-70ish.

But Isn't it becoming so boring at staring the semi tail all day long?
