4 hours from scheduled delivery (Paid in full) I was called and told there is a delivery hold on a certain range of VIN. My VIN 33Xxx included. No information on how long of a hold it will be. The regional representative mentioned Tesla didn’t provide much information, as it just came out today. She mentioned something about it possibly relating to the ”battery pack”. Anyone else been notified of similar delay to their delivery? As of now….no loaner, no compensation for my inconvenience. They have payment in full, I’ve got nothing to show for it and no timeline.

It may help others to show what config you ordered and other details.. is this dual motor or tri-motor Cyberbeast etc.. Was the call from Tesla and verified etc.. seems like much missing information here.

It is a Tac Grey CB. It is not motor related, it is battery related. I went to the Service Center and they don’t have a lot of information, but there is a hold on a certain range of VINs due to a voltage battery issue (main battery). More to follow when they provide more details and estimated delay. There were a dozen on the lot, many which were on hold.

I know you are excited but take this as a positive thing. Let them resolve any issues BEFORE you take delivery. This could be another issue and you don't want to suddenly get that post delivery...sit tight a bit and make sure to communicate with them and report back what they say.

For those tracking, my 33X VIN was pulled and Tesla took it back for a battery pack replacement. Thankfully, a sharp SC manager was able to get a new VIN and so it ends up being a 48 hr delay. New VIN 35XXX. I’m guessing Foundation Series is getting closer to the end, with that kind of flexibility.

I've seen 8 people who had VINs on hold say they need to take delivery by the end of the month or lose their $1k.

I also had Tesla tell me that I could order a new CT and get it by the end of the month today (not interested, they were trying to push me to get 2).

That's either a mad EOQ push or FS ending or both.

You got somebody else's reject. Simple as that. Have you seen all the posts on here with people complaining about Tesla ending their hold.

I wouldn't call it a reject as the VIN is higher. I would call it someone who passed it up for whatever reason.

It was manufactured on 9/12. It was a ”non-responsive” Reservation holder (ie someone backing out of the deal) rather than a “rejected” VIN for a defect of some kind. At least that’s how I understand it.

So many non committed Cybertruck buyers.

I understand Tesla’s point as they are rumored to be sitting on Cybertruck inventory that needs to be off the books in next 12 days, end of Q3.

Tesla should offer the Foundation Series 2.0 next. The limited edition second year production of the Cybertruck. Priced at $120k for AWD and $140k for Cyberbeast.
