The current version of auto park in FSD is very good, so this will be a nice-to-have, but I just want them to toss in lane keep assist or something

My truck downloaded it, I declined the installation right away (said it would take 55 minutes)…. Went to update about an hour later and now the update has vanished?

tried soft reset and still it’s gone

anyone have this happen?

Ford just made the news because they are removing Autopark from there cars in 2025 because no one uses it. I tried it once and it wasn't worth using so I get it. It was slow and parked poorly.
So Ford’s is bad, therefore they all must be bad?

Auto park on my wife’s Y with 12.3.6 doors a great job.

Chuck is right, it just started but it does not look like a "rollout", yet:

It's still slower than it takes a person to park. I don't use Autopark.

Now, perhaps. All software is iterative (will improve over time).

But my comment was more about the silly comparisson between Ford's abismal failure to Teslas first attempt.

I did not get the previous auto park release but DID get this version yesterday and installed it. Unfortunately I got home super late last night and am commuting via train today, so no testing until tonight or this weekend for me.

I’m just a normie, no social media, no fame, June truck in the 12,xxx VIN range.

This isn't Tesla's first attempt, but I somewhat agree.

I think my F150 autopark was a bit better than Teslas last version, but overall I doubt the majority will use autopark from anyone because it will always be slower than self parking.

However, with FSD and actual automation, Autopark is necessary and if you aren't driving at all, it doesn't matter if it's slower.

I never used in on my model S. But it was fun to show people.

I think it’s more important for Tesla because they will be adding point to point FSD (someday) and it’ll be important to finish a drive.
Previous versions weren't good. They would make too many corrections and I would fall asleep waiting for them to get into the space.
The newer version is quite good. it's actually something that I now use a fair amount.

This will happen if you don't update and drive away from your WiFi connection. Once you reconnect to your Wifi check "software" and see if it tries to update again. My experience is that if I decline or don't update at the time, it seems to take a week or so before It rolls back around to me. So, yes, it's happened to me on a couple occassions since owning my CyberTruck beginning in April.

The current version in my 2024 MX is really quite good. I definitely use it if there isn’t a line of traffic waiting.

Same. My 18 MS and CT are still waiting for 12.5.

I find the CT easier to park than my Ram was, and I even installed a front camera on the Ram. The only hang up is if my side view cameras are dirty or something and it is too dark for the mirrors to be useful which hasn't really been an issue. If you can't park the truck with 4 wheel steering you may need some driving lessons.
