Vision Autopark + Hands Free Frunk rolling out in 2024.32.5.3 Update now!!

Well, It worked but it lets just say, "There is room for improvement" and that would be an understatement!

The first try, it parked very well but getting to park was pretty funny. Cutting the wheel back and forth, forward and back, like a drunk. Bt in the end, it was centered between the lines and good distance from the curb.

The second try, drunk again but this time, it was centered between the two vehicles but NOT centered between the lines.

Now that I am looking again, it is not even centered between the cars or the lines.

Third try, it parallel parked ok but again, whipping the wheel back and forth, and that makes me laugh everytime, so far. And I thought it was too far from the curb.

Last try, it was almost right on the drivers side line. As far as the curb is concerned, that was good. It also backed in every time, which is how I park all the time.

So, it works. I am guessing it will get better and more accurate as time goes on and It was pretty quick but I can park quicker and more accurately. But DON'T TAKE IT AWAY!!! I like it and will use it when there is not a line of cars waiting to get by.

Just got the update today and was excited to try autopark for the first time.

it was taking way too long and going way too far forward toward another parked car on the opposite side of the parking aisle.

I had to intervene to avoid embarrassment.

Hands Free Frunk is so convenient. I like this feature more than Autopark

I parked with it several times and it did well except once. It was a perfectionist about dead center between the lines so it pulled out and back in 5 times. Right next to me was a good ole boy in an ice truck with a look on his face of thinking "that guy don't know how to drive a truck." This was when setting sun was level with rear camera. Once sun went down further it parked really well. It even parked next to a cart return area and recognized the railings of it.

It's good. I have android phone so hands free frunk is available on ct menu but I don't think app supports it yet on android.

Yeah the autopark sauce is weak on this one. ? too many adjustments doing a parallel park. Got the job done but not smoothly. It’ll improve I am sure.

I tested today and it did well. Only thing was that it started to move forward to line things up while another car was passing by so made me nervous.

I’ve had it park 3 times in the last couple of hours, the last one being a parallel park. It did fine. Maybe more picky than I’d have been on the parallel park. It certainly maneuvered differently then I would have, I contribute that to it knowing how the 4 wheel steering works better than I do. I did have my foot poised over the brake pedal but didn’t use it.

Interesting comment earlier about it centering between two adjacent cars vs centering between the lines. Sounds like just what a lot of humans would do.

Hands Free Frunk is also part of this update. Undocumented though.

Had my update, got to 100% and it just sat there. Left my car and came back and now it’s gone and says I’m on the latest software 2024.26.11… it seems to have vanished???

Mine is downloading now. Was on 2024.26.11. Can’t wait to take a drive tonight and check it out. Hopefully this is a fist step to FSD in the coming weeks. ?
