If I waited I would've saved $2k, because I wouldn't have gotten the white interior and the FS Beast is the exact same price as the non-FS other than this when factoring in all add-ons/incentives. However, after seeing the grey interior versus the white, I'm glad Tesla forced the option on me, because it looks so much nicer. Ultimately a win, because I got the interior color I didn't know I wanted and I got it over 4 months ago.

Yes pretty much, ($7k fsd) ($3500 wheels) ($2k white decor) no 2500$ Tesla store credit. Looking at 3-5k$ savings without FS badging and any thing extra I’m missing
Works out to $3,125 savings if you wanted everything the Foundation Series delivered.

Cyber Wheels w/ All-Terrain Tires$3,500.00
White Décor$2,000.00
Mobile Connector$250.00
Full Self Driving$7,000.00
PowerShare Bundle or Shop Credit$2,500.00
Gear Locker Dividers$45.00
L-Track Hooks$25.00
L-Track Bottle Opener$25.00
D-Rings (2-sets)$80.00
Center Console Tray$40.00
Glass Roof Sunshade$115.00
All Weather Mats$295.00
Lifetime Premium$1,000
Total Accessories$16,875.00
Savings over Foundation$3,125.00

If you ordered the Cyberbeast it's even less factoring in the Lightbar ($1,000-$1,500?) and if you ordered early enough to get the $4,000 Powershare install credit you actually saved money.

Considering I reserved 10 months after reservations opened and would have been way down the list, it's money well spent to me.

I'm a little surprised they stuck with the Core Wheels as the base option, I'd have expected a smaller wheel/tire combo.

You got a sauce for this?

I thought that tesla would wait until the "refresh" to release non-fs, but i guess i was wrong.. Pretty sure DBE CTs are still in testing, wonder how long until we have those? I thought 2025 model would have DBE for sure..
Source for which part?

2 million minus:
1. Huge increase in price from when they reserved
2. Elons weirdo antics putting many off from buying any Tesla

= way less now.
It’s all opinions until someone has the actual numbers to back it up. The fact is some people will enjoy and love these trucks for years to come. Others will continue to find reasons to not buy, but I don’t understand why they would let this truck park in their heads rent free if they’re not interested.

As for Elon, I couldn’t care less about his personal antics. You can’t expect the person who builds a satellite network, wants to colonize Mars, and change the world to act the same way as your neighbor who marathons Netflix and wants to talk about last weekend’s game. We need the eccentric people in the world to do things 99.99% of us wouldn’t or we’ll never grow.

There's no "refresh" for the CT on the roadmap. Changes will just occur over time. When Tesla switches to DBE, which is rumored to be late 2025 now, you won't know by looking at the configurator. The DBE just cost Tesla less, there's potential for a small range increase (2-4% from some analyst), but nothing crazy.

It's petty close to where I feel better about getting the Foundation series.

The people who hurt themselves it seems is if you got the Foundation series and opted for the...

-Core All Season Tire/wheel (-3,500)
-Tactical Grey (-2,000)

That caused them to miss out on $5,500 of "free" upgrades.

I had a feeling when they offered the Core wheels and the Tactical grey that those would be the lesser options.

I agree, but I am digging the Tactical grey and it looks great and I like how the cabin is darker. So to me, it equals out. Im fine with it.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the order list started over and the people who ordered first on reveal day are getting the email invites.
That matches my experience.
First reservation was made during the reveal and ordered in December, delivery in May.
Second reservation (which has been active for Foundation) was made within an hour of the reveal and I got the email.

Exactly. That option is BS in my opinion. White material and grey material cost the same. It just personal preference. As for the tires, those wear and will have to be replaced in a year anyway.

That sounds accurate!

I'm not qualified for the tax credit, but I am wondering if people are going to hold off again until they show that. And the line will go quicker again.

Yeah...
My decision tree was: Foundation Beast now or AWD (+ tax credit?) later. Beast now was the only sure thing.
There are only 3 months until more credit rules kick in, and I doubt Tesla will give any guidance beyond a statement when/if they start qualifying. Tight needle to thread in terms of manufacturing requirements and delivery deadline. If they can source non-excluded minerals then AWD with credit in 2025 is possible.
