At the bottom of the list, you can see that the Fuel Economy site was updated on 10/1/2024.
I am still hopeful for the Cybertruck to get the $7,500 Tax Credit by end of the year.

Is it possible for the Cybertruck to get at least $3,750?

It can't get any credit as long as Tesla is using cathodes imported from China. In 2025, it can't use Chinese minerals.
Once that is addressed, it would be eligible for $3,750 based on local component content and $3,750 based on local mineral content.

How do you know where their cathodes come from?

then why do the 3/Y/X qualify? They all took time to be added to the list. Hopefully that’s true for the CT too.

of course requirements in ‘25 will be stricter or else the law could be eliminated altogether If the republicans win in November.
Those use Panasonic (Nevada or Japan which has a free trade agreement) cells.
Y/3 with Chinese LFP packs don't get the credit.
There were delays in originally setting up the point of sale portal and Y originally only qualified in the three row configuration. Those teething issue no longer apply.

I think I remember a delay when the new Model 3 came out. Tesla is clearly incentivized to release the base model before the tax credit approval so they can sell more wheel/interior upgrades. I'm personally not in a rush, so I'm going to wait and see. I see vins getting assigned quickly so its not like there's much of a wait after ordering apparently.

Someone at Tesla can just publicly announce on X or somewhere that it doesn't qualify, and then many customers, like me, will probably go through with the order. There's no incentive to hide this information unless the credit is pending approval.

I also want to know if the battery is actually lower capacity then the FS. The range estimate deltas dont make much sense when comparing the different wheel options. They look like marketing estimates as much as actual estimates.

Come to think of it, i know for a fact the MX was delayed with the credit because i was shopping for one. Alll of the sudden it qualified, presumably because they wanted to sell more of them.

When dod you purchase? I'm wondering if you are talking about point of sale (time of purchase) credit or qualifying at all.

There have been news articles regarding it.
Tesla has no wet electrode production in house.

That looks like a pretty old article actually.... In the very last line it says:
" Tesla produced the 20 millionth 4680 cell in October 2023. "

Yep, that's true... HOWEVER, they have since made their 100 millionth cell just a couple of weeks ago and they are making upwards of 500,000 right now and it's only going to get faster and faster...

And, since they are currently ONLY being put into CTs... well, that's gonna be a LOT of CTs!!

Yeah it's old, but supply chains don't change quickly and Tesla only recently announced their first DBE Cybertruck pack for testing.

If it would have qualified, tesla would have updated it immediately on the site as supply and demand has evened up. So it is not qualified for federal tax credit.

I believe you are not looking at federal tax credit for individuals. You are looking at the business credit.
