I'm RN11209xx and I received my order invite on Thursday, TSLA holder and M3 owner. Not sure if that helped me or not, but it sure couldn't hurt! Ordered on Sunday, and don't have a VIN yet. Do you need financial info to get a VIN? I didn't when I got my M3 in 2022.
My timeline is same as yours. I'm paying cash. though. and trading in a car. I wonder if not having a final value assigned to it is why no VIN yet?

VIN assignment should be independent from trade in stuff. (Which can make things 'fun' as delivery approaches).

Just now I went back into the app. I discovered they made a "new" offer on value of my trade-in. It's considerably lower than what they estimated. They likely were waiting on my accepting there offer. I'm not sure what I want to do now. I rejected their offer, and gave my reasons, for wanting what they originally estimated. Frustrating!

In Washington your trade in value does reduce sales tax.
The $100 value on my Sierra was double what I had gotten for a previous car...

I understand that. And I have personalized Ham Radio plates that trading in will make an easier task. But KBB estimates $2300 to $3600; their original estimate was $1700; but now they offer $600.

Ack! That's a drop!
Speaking od plates, I'd gotten the two year renewal on my rust bucket with custom plates planning to transfer them onto CT to save a little... but the Tesla system wasn't playing nice so ended up getting changed new registration pricing on the transfer. Hopefully I'll get that cleared up when we go in for service.

Sell it somewhere else. Tesla generally lowballs trade-ins.

Keep it until you get the Cybertruck and then sell it to Carvana or equivalent. It's not as if the value even pays for the tax on the truck.

I ordered last Wed 10/2 for a FS, then the non-FS opens....
I reserved in May of 2023 though, so I don't think I'll get to order the non-FS anytime soon anyway. Trying to get it ASAP to help me with some yard work.
I'm in Dallas. The chat rep says the car will arrive on 10/8, then they need a few days to process it. VIN is 31xxx
It's interesting that some non-FS owners already picked up the car, and I haven't gotten a delivery date yet. I guess they're etching the FS marks onto the non-FS?
I am financing it through Tesla/Chase with 5.19% for 72 months. Lower than my house mortgage. The original ad showed 5.29%, but it got lowered after approval.

I got the AWD and I am in Oklahoma City.
Hi NutJob, I'm helping organize a car show on the 30th, and would love to have a Cybertruck there. It will be part of our church's Harvest Festival in Warr Acres Cherokee Hills Park. In addition to some classic cars, we'll have a M3, My, Mx, and maybe a Ms, so would you be willing to bring your CT? It will be 5-8PM, and there should be several hundred adults and kids viewing the cars. If you want to do Trunk or Treat in the bed or frunk, that's optional. We will provide candy to hand out. Please DM me on X @DoulosDS if you would be interested. Thanks! DonS

I sent you a DM but I ordered mine last Thursday night and still do not have a VIN. I am guessing I will not have mine before the 30th. If by some miracle I do, I will be there!

Great idea. Carvana offered me $1,900. Anyone have experience using them? I was honest in my appraisal of the car's condition. Is there a chance they will lowball it later, like Tesla did?

Just to add another data point for everyone, I ordered my non-FS on Friday 10/4. Stock as it comes, no FSD (due to not getting the 7500 tax credit). Got VIN the same day. Messaged them yesterday and they said my truck would arrive in Indianapolis (I'm in southern IN) on the 15th and delivery would follow "within that next week."

Can anyone provide context for me on what that last part means? Is delivery typically within a couple days of it arriving at the SC or by within that next week do they mean that next Monday and onward?

Well, I had a miracle and I got my VIN number so there is a good chance I can make this event!

I also ordered later Friday with the same specs as you and have yet to receive my vin. Anxious, nervous, excited, and frustrated, all at the same time!
