They don't care. In their mind, it's more efficient to take the ones they have and put them on new orders so that the number of covers they have to ship stays the same. If they do it the other way, they have to ship covers to us now, and then ship covers to the newer owners later

Also guessing quite a few trucks still waiting on the sail applique and wiper motor recall repairs. I'm in no rush on those so hoping by the time I get them scheduled that the wheel covers will be available at the service center and they can knock it all out in one visit.

Tesla got the UPS quote on sending the wheel covers to the local service center, you know, for the original FS owners who are missing their covers, and said. . . . NAH, that’s too much. They can wait.

At this point does anyone even care about the stupid covers? I’ve seen then in person and heard they rub etc. i would take another 6 months of free charging instead ?

It’s more about the principle than their esthetics; it was part of the truck options and due the customer. Same with the light bar; hopefully all this will be sorted before years end (but I doubt it).

It's the principle for me. Had my truck since March and now I get to see a recently delivered Cybertruck every morning at my kids schools that has wheel covers on it :cautious: ...

I will never be an early adopter for Tesla again. What is the point?? I thought I was built for it but I am clearly not lol ?

Still no wheel covers, my voucher is still "one-time" use & I had to keep reminding them that they owed me a set of vault d-rings from delivery. Those finally came at month 6 of ownership.

On top of that service has been horrible. Getting ready for my 8th service appointment in 7 months of ownership. They say things are fixed then you drive it for a day or 2 and the problem comes back.

I am approaching lemon territory here in Texas...

Still love the truck but it is a toxic relationship for sure.
