For anyone looking at the Silverado/Sierra/Hummer EVs, read the fine print and/or talk to the sales people - their subscription rates are ~$50+ per month, once the trial period ends. To me, THAT is robbery, especially for what you get.

I got the invite Friday and quickly ordered before thinking everything through. Considering cancelling now and eating the $250. It just seems odd to be that I can get a truck quickly. The market for an expensive vehicle is obviously low which makes me think they will start offering more incentives next year so could be worth it to wait. Very torn as I didn’t think I would even have to consider this for at least a year
“the market for trucks this expensive is low” ? The raptors over 100k the lighting if you get the best packet 95k the Chevy diesel 2500 is 90k plus. Seems right on par and I don’t see any of them dropping but you got to do what’s best for you

I don’t want to pay interest on FloorMats, Storage Tray, Sun Shade, Bottle Opener… especially if I can pay tax only once on these item direct from the Tesla Shop..

regarding the premium connectivity charges. I have a FS and my card is being charged $10 monthly. How can I cancel it and keep the free connectivity?
Your profile lists three Tesla. The Premium connectivity is probably for one of those other cars. You might want to just cancel it if you don't use those cars anymore.

This is silly. If you have the cash to buy those items, you could just finance the vehicle with a bigger downpayment. Right?

Plus, if you need a bottle opener you must live in a different decade than I do.

Below is the exhaustive list. I really tried to find issues with the truck. I know a lot of folks would not care but i cared for my $120k so wanted to make sure it was flawless and that was the downfall of it. Service center was able to take care of almost all of these issues but in my mind, I had grown a distrust with the truck already. I could not digest the fact that the biggest pieces of glasses on the truck needed full replacement and this was for a brand new truck. Anyway, I hope and wish the build quality has improved from that point.
1. Left Passanger Door Misaligned.
2. Left tailgate Misaligned.
3. Left upper triangle trim piece not flushed at the front joint.
4. Left upper triangle trim piece not aligned with the rear panel.
5. Frunk panel gap mismatch at between left and right.
6. Frunk not flushed with left and right front panel.
7. Right upper triangle trim piece not flushed at the front joint.
8. Front right wheel arch minor damage (less than 3mm).
9. Rear right wheel arch minor damage (less than 10 mm).
10. Scuff mark below CyberBeast logo on tailgate.
11. Front glass interior has weird fogging patterns.
12. White interior still has black spots from handling.
13. Front windshield needed replacement due to multiple arc scratches.
14. Truck bed top mount covers are not flushed.
15. Truck bed top plastic trim on left side has bulging.
16. Left rear door interior trim is loose
17. Top rear glass side plastric trim is loose at multiple location on both sides.
18. Right rear side door has minor misaligment.
19. top roof panel back and front side has bowing and seems seal has come off and needed replacement.
20. Interior squeaking noise from drivers seat.
I am surprised that there is any car that you would accept. You really had no business buying a first-year vehicle of any kind with these kinds of complaints.

Looks like you can still order a foundation if you want to, or configure the non-foundation if you want that.

I'm looking at whether I want to configure a non-foundation beast, or an AWD foundation now. Decisions...
You will be disappointed if you don’t get the beast

I bought my cyberbeast in the first week of June. Drove it for couple of months and sold it due to some build quality issues. I had another reservation that i did on the day of the delivery event. I just got an email to configure my nonfoundation. I was thinking i have to wait a couple of yrs before my time comes. This is so wild.
I’m assuming that since they went through their entire list and pretty much offer everyone a Foundation Series and not many took the bait Now they are doing the same for the original Cybertruck. I’m just not sold on the price of $82k that’s about $20k more than I was promised when I did my reservation. I too got the email but I think I’ll wait another couple of months till they go down another 20k or I just cancel my reservatio.

I created a CT reservation in mid-July of this year (RN 12222XXXX). Just two weeks later (Aug 2nd) we were invited to configure a Foundation Series. Today we received an invite to configure a non-foundation series. I went to the configurator and built a DM which showed Oct-Nov delivery (presumably out of inventory). Same for CyberBeast. So I am calling it: original (US) reservation list is basically finished.

I think your not far off,,, I was RN113. I think the price is out of the range for all the "Normal Tesla Fans' "90% of us... You know us working people. Elon will have to drop the price down another 20K to reach the working class guys like us. Otherwise the "45K price range will be the average sale. I think the 2 WD will be early 2025... even at 60K they won't be flying off the lot...

Well when you buy a prototype of a Tesla products, that's what you expect. But I thank all you rich guys for paving the way for the improved quality and lower price as he gets to volume.

then don’t. ? if you wait long enough maybe they will come out with manual roll down windows and you can save some financing there also?

Another $20,000 less and you have a deal.
Good move, put's Tesla under more pressure to get his price down, So the average working guy can afford to purchase one. Even at 79,990. plus FSD runs 93,000 with taxs and delivery. Not priced for the average Joe ~

The market for those trucks is small. There's a reason Ford and GM don't give you details on how many of those they sell.

There's a market for an EV truck. That there were millions of reservations proves it. But also... I can't afford a truck that costs a third more than other trucks, when i can barely afford a truck.
